Excellent
Fabulous book for the beginning or intermediate coyote hunter. It's a surprisingly intricate sport, and the author does a terrific job of guiding the reader through the many facets that must be dealt with in order to successfully hunt the new Eastern Brush Wolf. Read it several times!

Full of facts, entertaining read and FUNNY!!!
After trying my first coyote hunt with a guide this year and wanting to learn more about it, I picked this book because it was the most recently written. What a score! I learned more about coyote hunting in 96 pages than in another book well over 200 pages from a different author (I bought pre-hunt in2013). I never thought that I would ever say that I couldn't put down a book on coyote hunting but I stand corrected. Fun to read and full of great advice and techniques. At first I thought it was going to be a bust because it's not even 100 pages, but I can't think of what else there would be to say! He even clarifies the differences in lights for nighttime hunting and explains the differences between light intensities (lumens vs candlepower, etc.) I can only hope that Richard writes another one for advanced hunters once I get my feet wet and a couple of moon dogs under my belt. What an entertaining read. Bravo.

Awesome Informative Fun Read
I never thought I'd have any interest in reading a book about predator hunting--much less coyotes. But my interest was piqued this past winter when a friend starting telling me about coyote problems in NJ. Then a few weeks later my mother told me about the "huskies" wandering around in the swamp across the street from her home; and then a friend posted to Facebook about the funny thing she saw IN HER BACK YARD: a "wolf" stalking a deer. Shocking to me then--but no longer so--the wolf and the huskie turned out to be the Moon Dog!!! My friend, the one telling me about coyotes, recommended Bogath's book, and I was surprised to find it was a quick interesting read. Funny, intelligent, and informative. I'm not going to go hunting for Moon Dogs anytime soon, but the next time someone mentions a "huskie" or a "wolf" in their backyard, I'm going to be able to tell THEM what to read! Enjoy it, I sure did.
