A little messy but easy to use with good results!
I’m a die hard DAS fan and I wish they made black ADC but they don’t sooooo.Thought I’d take the plunge and buy this black block. I love the DAS white and stone clay as they look so natural and pretty without painting and very few issues with cracks etc but I wanted to have some black clay too to break up the grey and white. So, this stuff is messy on your hands! Use a little oil on your hands before using this clay so the dye comes off your hands easily. It dries very quickly too. So keep it moist whilst working with it and make sure you reseal the pack up well.Other than that have fun with it. I’ve just mixed some up with silver glitter to see how it dries 😂

Good
Very happy with it. Use a little thicker than usual because its prone to cracking.

Interesting stuff
First up, this stuff has a lovely putty smooth feel when first handled, unlike the air-drys which have added fibre. The black doesn't stain too badly either, which was a pleasant surprise! I searched for the tech data on it and came up with: don't use too much water, and don't attempt to fire it. So I'm guessing it's an air curing polymer.Out of interest I tried it on a cup shaped mini wheel, with barely a touch of water; it started beautifully, then went out of shape before finally parting company with the wheel and hurling itself across the room! Not a contender for wheel throwing, then! (Although the wheel wobble may have contributed!)I'd bought both the ochre and black colours. By mixing 2 parts ochre to 1 part black it makes a nice "soil colour, so I've been using it to "plant" miniature flowers and leaves into little terracotta pots. I haven't noticed extreme shrinkage using it this way, I do put a good bit of tacky glue in the pot before adding the clay, and this seems to adhere it well, and also add glue to my "planting holes" before inserting stems. Meanwhile the clay seems to cure in a couple of days, even in my unheated house. So I am being really careful to keep raw clay well wrapped in clingfilm and plastic to keep the air away, as let's face it, it's not cheap. So overall I'm reasonably pleased with it as I have found a good use for it. Was hoping to throw some planters though, so maybe I'll try my regular mini wheel and risk a bit more water next time...

Brilliant Stuff
Brilliant - used for base of statue which had piece broken off - this self hardening clay worked brilliantly

Poor quality
The clay is easy to work, but dries light gray and cracks, so it is useless if you want a black smooth finish.
