Great bottle, great customer service!
I originally reviewed this bottle and gave it 4 stars because the O-ring gasket on the top came off too easily, but now I'm upgrading my rating to 5 stars because of the excellent customer service I received. Here's my original post:I've had this bottle 9 months and really like it. It has a nice finish, hasn't shown sign of wear, is reasonably insulating (not sure how it compares to the name brand, but it sure costs a lot less), and does not leak...that is until the O-ring on the top suddenly disappeared. It always seemed like it would come off too easily, so I was careful to keep an eye on it. I did catch it coming off a few times, but didn't catch it the last time. It's gone now and so the bottle now leaks. I'd have given it 5 stars if not for this problem.UPDATE: I contacted Mira via their website and told them the story and they sent me a new O-ring gasket free of charge. I've updated my rating to 5 stars!

Buy Matt Finish if possible, better grip too
I have bought 4-5 two packs of another brand by Finedine of different colors same style as these, yes, they are really nice, BUT, as you can see in the photo, the paint simply doesn't hold up on any area of the bottle, be it top, side or the bottom dispite handling them like fine crystal. No matter which one you look at on here, not many talk about the finishes, yes they hold both hot and cold liquids, so I was looking at many other brands all in this same class since they are so easy to hold by the top. I only have it for a day, so im hoping the Matt Finish on this brand truly holds up, i love the look and feel, has a nice non slip feel. I did see some colors that had a slight shine?, red flag for me, i went with Matt this time. I think the problem is they don't acid etch the steel so the paint sticks better.. The only con is on the one I received, the cap is not as easy to feel if its seated, I have to turn the knob a bit harder then the ones I was used to, quick twist and done, so i hope that part breaks in as I use it. It arrived in perfect condition. First time use to rid the manufacturing smell, I clean mine with a few drops of Dawn and fill half way, put cap on and shake hard for 30sec, empty, fill again, and repete a few times, done,! No, mine doesn't wobble, yes it keeps my water Cold. Don't expect a room temperature bottle to not pull the coldness out of your fresh fill, use a few ice cubes people! If this brand falls short of my expectations, I will update this review. My last resort will be plain unpainted silver.

Great insulated bottle: lighter than glass, not plastic, no condensation!
Put off by S'well's prices, I found MIRA on Amazon and based on the reviews, purchased the light blue 17 oz. bottle.Seller: I received it from MIRA Brands in two days with my Prime shipping. It came in a plastic bag which was inside a cardboard box. Not fancy like the S'well cylinder boxes I see in stores but intact, and gift-wrap/gift-bag ready. I noticed/felt one tiny light grey blemish (one dot) in the finish on the body when I inspected it closely but nothing warranting a call to customer service as defective/damaged.First impressions:- I tried it for a week during my 2-3 hour walks through hot, humid, August in NYC weather. Whenever I took a sip, I enjoyed cold water. I can say that the water stays cold for 10 hours indoors because my last refill during nightly reading stays cold until the next morning.- Because of the double walled construction, there is no condensation collecting on the outside of the bottle. This means I no longer have to put paper towels around my water bottles when I put them into my purse to keep my bag and the other contents of my bag dry!- The opening will not permit traditional ice cubes but my freezer makes the ones shaped like fruit wedges which are narrow enough. If I didn't have an ice maker, I would use my OXO ice cube tray (bought for storing baby food many moons ago) which makes the same ice shapes as my freezer.Cleaning: I wash the bottle with regular dish soap and warm water (cold water last rinse to prep it), before filling it.Other Sizes:I was so satisfied that after a week, I bought:-the 17 oz. gray MIRA bottle for my husband to use at home/work-the 12 oz. blue MIRA bottle for my 5-year-old (for summer outdoor adventures and school)-the 25 oz. gray MIRA bottle to use during our trip to Vancouver-the 17 oz. gray (with green) printed MIRA bottle for my obsessed-with-hydration best friend- The caps are not interchangeable. They vary in size according to the size of the bottle and the 12 oz. cap has a different outer design than the bigger caps.- The effectiveness of the bottles increases with size, with the 12 oz. bottle being the least efficient at staying cold (ice melts in 2 hours but still stays cold enough for 8 hours to keep my cold water obsessed 5-year-old happy) and the 25 oz. is amazingly efficient at keeping out the heat. Our ice water from the morning stayed ice cold (complete with cubes) for almost 24 hours, even with frequent opening to take sips during our Vancouver hiking adventures and refilling only at lunch and dinner.Looks/Durability/Taste (picture uploaded of bottles after one month):- Though I can't speak for the one I gifted, after three months of daily use and washing the other bottles as described above (and air drying when not used overnight), I have noticed no rust (inside or outside) or smell in any of the bottles.- There was never a metallic taste, though I have only used them with water (I will try hot tea when it is not so darned hot).- The light blue has a different lacquer-like finish that is more resistant to scuffs/scratches than the other colors which have a stone-like finish. When I was not careful to keep the bottles away from my keys, spiral notebooks, and metal bracelets, they have gotten scuffed/scratched. I have been able to wash off some scuffs and the bottles do not look beat up. My son's 12 oz. blue is the only one that got scratched (but only after it started to be used for school) so that you could see some metal (see picture).Happy hydration!

Love this but…
Love the color choices! I ordered Iris. Love the bottle top. Love it’s insulation. It does keep my water cold ( with ice added) for quite a long time. It’s not too heavy or inconvenient to carry. The only thing is unfortunately it’s been dropped a few times. : ((. The first time it wouldn’t stand up. So I googled how to get dents out of aluminum. After several tries at least it would stand. So I wish somehow some way it structurally could be different so as the bottom would not dent so easily. But I still love and use it. My only water bottle. ; )) (4 stars only because of the dents) And the issue probably cannot be fixed but I’d still buy another one hands down!

Mira is the best!
I have spent a lot of money on expensive water bottles but own at least 10 assorted styles of Mira products and they are the best I have ever used. I primarily use them to keep my water or electrolytes cold but have one for coffee and it stays steaming hot all day. I have never been disappointed with Mira except that many of the decorative styles are unavailable/sold out. Excellent brand!
