Rawl plug cut to length
My father had these back in the 1980's. And I have old stock. And these are of similar if not the same quality. I highly recommend these. The colours suggest the size (diameter) of hole to be drilled. Measure depth of the drilled hole. Measure the rawl plug and cut 3 to 4 mm short. Hammer plug into wall and trim if necessary. Not suitable for Hardwall, rockwall sheeting. I only recommend for brick, concrete block and concrete poured walls 🧱. If a screw in wood was enlarged, this would also qualify for a fix, just make sure you have a nice tight fit between the wood and plug. What I mean is, make the hole as small a diameter as possible and the plug a very tight fit.

Stunningly good wallplug
I first used this type of 'cut to length' wall plug back in the '70s, when it used to be available in longer lengths, iirc.It remains an outstanding design, which will firmly grip a hole of the appropriate size (do not over-size the hole); just cut to length and drive into the hole with a hammer. It is ideally suited to thickly plastered walls, where part of the wallplug needs to go well into the masonry behind. The plug will not fold over or bend, or twist in its hole.As another user has said, maybe the best wallplug to be had, and infinitely better than the grey stuff found everywhere.

Just what we needed to get a number of different jobs done!
So much easier than chasing up different lengths of rawl plug for every screw - some of which we couldn’t seem to find anywhere!

These work well, very useful to have in your toolbox......
Little to say about these plugs, other than they seem to work very well. The plastic is relatively compressable/maleable and they can be tapped into close fitting holes and will accept various sizes of screws. You can cut to length as required so they are economic and very convenient to use. Recommended.....
