GiroUnisex Adult Aerohead MIPS Aero/tri Helmet - Black/Titanium, M 55-59cm

First time I wore this is was very self conscious as it’s a pointy go fast hat. However once settled down into the TT bike it feels secure, comfortable and - as all the reviews will tell you - it is fast.Good ventilation though I do always sweat down the visor no matter what helmet I wear. Visor clips very solidly in place with no rattle and stores upwards very well too. Easy adjustment with the standard giro dial behind the head. MIPS is an added bonus that doesn’t take away from comfort at all.

Expectations exceeded! Great product at a good price. Light-speed delivery!

Love the helmet but the strap adjustment is quite poor. I’ve emailed Giro, Tweeted them and sent an Instagram message and had NO reply! Disappointing customer service from Giro.

Dati alla mano, questo casco mi fa risparmiare dai 20watt ai 40watt in base alla posizione che assumo sulla bici (PINARELLO F10 con lenticolare dietro, 80mm avanti e sterzo da cronometro). Se non guardo davanti ma guardo la striscia bianca della strada risparmio altri 7/10 watt (posizione pericolosissima). Lo indosso anche con gli occhiali da vista sotto la mascherina a specchio (ho i rayban wayfarer e sono grossi). Che dire, il miglior casco da TT Cronometro in circolazione

Zuerst mal zum Helm,Der ist wirklich Weltklasse! Passt mir in M perfekt (58cm Kopfumfang). Sieht toll aus, ist sehr leicht und angenehm zu tragen.Versand durch Amazon. Samstag bestellt, Montag geliefert! PERFEKT!Und nun zum negativen.Der Helm wurde mir ohne Zubehör und ohne original Schachtel zu geschickt. Es fehlt die Beschreibung, Visier und der Beutel.Der Helm war nur in einem Plastiksack verpackt, in einen zu kleine Amazon Karton gesteckt. Und dieser dann nochmal in einen grossen Karton. Und so sollte kein 235€ Helm geliefert werden.Update:Amazon hat sofort einen neuen verschickt der 2 Tage später ankam! Perfekter Service!Diesmal mit kompletten Zubehör, der Helm sieht richtig gut aus!

Although I was on the limit of a medium and a large, I purchased the Large. It was comically huge. My friends laughed and asked if I was firing the death star. I returned it for the medium. It was snug, but I used a sharp chisel to shave a few millimeters from where it pressed on the back of my head.My experience over 8 months: I gained somewhere between half to one mph on my intervals on my tri-bike. Another benefit I wear a heavy astigmatism prescription and most goggles are not an option; No more gnats or wasps in the eyes. The shield covers your ears and much less wind noise in my earbuds. The airflow keeps you cool up to about 90F moving, you will want to pop it off as soon as you stop or you will heat up and fog up standing still. With a couple of pieces of vinyl tape on the inlets, it keeps you warm below 45F.The long-term durability of the shield is an issue. The first unit I received already had a crack above the nose piece. The shield is very secure in place, but when flipped up mine has fallen off onto the concrete about five times. One of the side magnets broke off, the it is cracked over the nose piece and scratched in places (luckily not in my line of vision). Plan on buying a new shield every year or two, depending on how often you use it, at approx 70 per shield.

I've worn this on several training rides now, along with a couple of races. While it's hard to really evaluate precisely how much it helps, I think it is safe to say this is worth a few seconds per mile for sure. In cold conditions, it was quite good to wear, once it gets over 80F, I would say it's a bit too hot for anything over an hour - sweat starts getting on the inside of the visor...
