When working on a beaded brooch and adding the beading around the edge of the brooch, the very soft gimp snagged on my needle several times. One snag was so bad the gimp pulled completely away from the brooch, sticking straight up. I had to cut the snag out and then put a decorative element in place to hid the lack of a gimp outline. This gimp is super flexible - maybe I can use it to make hair on a doll or something. I just cannot use it for jewelry and I do not think it would work for apparel, either - far too soft. When handling, the pressure must be very, very light to keep the coil from malforming.

The hole is very tiny

I purchased for embroidery projects. Everything does "stretch" however because the metal is so thin/has no structure its constantly getting bent or accidently pulled. Definitely not something I'm ordering on Amazon again.
