Q: Are they still ok if you move from asphalt to ice ? which size for winter boots ? is it the same as for the size of normal shoes ? thanks!

Walking on the tarmac or concrete pavement or road will definitely blunt the metal points on the STABILicer grips, asphalt is kinder. So always remove the grips when on non-icy rock or road/pavement. Remember hiking boots should be one size larger than your shoe size with two pairs of thick socks to pad it out; this stops soar feet through rubbing. My wife and I bought size M (Medium) STABILicers and that fitted her size 6 boots and I could stretch it to fit my size 9 (UK sizes) comfortably without excessive stretching. Above size 9 I would get the next size up.
