I MIX MY OWN SOILLESS MIX AND NEED PEAT MOSS FOR HALF OF MY SOILLESS MIX for my African violet and succulent mix. THIS IS EXCELLENT QUALITY PEAT!! It even just looks rich and healthy in the bag.It functions as the base, 55%-60%, of my soilless mix for both plants. I didn’t realize the size of the bag, and it’s a small quantity for my needs because my mixes are mainly made of peat. I made an error because I needed a larger bag. The bag was not costly, but I needed way more of it than what I bought. I’d need more of a bulk bag to suit my needs.Next time I need it, I will be shopping around and get this brand, DOTER, in larger quantities. It’s a good and quality product, it looks rich and healthy, it keeps my African violet and succulent soilless mix FAST DRAINING….. TO PREVENT ROOT ROT …..along with about 10% vermiculite for aeration, and the rest is perlite.ID HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOTER BRAND FOR A GREAT QUALITY PEAT!!

Used this for my carnivorous Venus flytrap, and it’s been great so far. Light, clean, and helps keep the soil conditions just right. Would recommend for anyone with moisture-loving plants!

EXACTLY what was need for my seedling mixture. Really great product!

I needed a small amount of plain peat moss for a venus flytrap plant. This is the perfect amount. It was fairly pricey for the amount you get, though.

Does the job

The size of the package is extremely small. This is only about 2-3 cents worth of product that they are selling for 7 dollars. What a freakin' rip off. $7 worth of product is normally about a 3 foot cube in size, not a bag the size of candy. This is an insane and disgusting rip off. NOT WORTH THE COST!!!!!! Shame on you for selling a dime worth of material for $7.

I used this to put in my Tarantula enclosure in the substrate. It seems that I am very allergic to it and it triggered my asthma. I had to completely change the substrate at 3:30 am. Not fun. I don't do plants, so I can't say how it works. It looked like potting soil. I have heard others use it for their Ts as it is supposed to be good. I would suggest a person check for allergies before putting it in. Something I never would have expected to be allergic to. I do have allergies to various things. It's not the products fault.

The only kind of peat moss I use. This mixed with the Harris soilless potting blend is a recipe for success in every single one of my plants. I have 100+ plants, mostly Alocasia and haven’t lost a single one since using this.
