I bought these for my senior dog who has a little leaky problem with his bladder. I can't speak to how it would handle large amounts of fluid but for his little 'spills' they work great. The top blue layer seems to collect most of the fluid and it doesn't make it through to the other side. The size I bought is perfect for the dogs beds too. I can reuse them multiple times before I wash them because the leaks are absorbed somehow. I feel better using these rather than the disposable pads, less waste and more comfortable for my little old man (my dog) to lay on.

Better than expected

They absorb well and wash well, so far. My only concern is they are a little thin and easily move. I use these for dog pee pads and was surprised at how well they absorb. My dogs will bunch them up and sleep on them. Other than being light weight and easily moved, they are great at absorption!

I have purchased several different pads for myself. These are by far the best, They stay in place, and absorb well. I will be buying more.

Not waterproof. Ordered these for my dog who has cancer. She has been very good about letting us know when she needs to go out, but occasionally she has an accident in the house and goes to the same spot. We got these to put down in the area in case she does go. Just discovered that she did pee there a little while ago as it is storming out. As I was folding up the wet mat to take it to laundry I realized the whole bottom is also wet!! Pee went right through to the carpet. While the carpet is not soaked as it would be without it, it is still damp enough to need to pull out the carpet shampooer. Would not recommend.
