Exactly what we needed to complete some plastic Welding. Kit supplied contained everything we needed.

Had to modify my waste water tank, cut the corner off, used this to plastic weld it,, works a treat..

AVOID THIS ITEM AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR WELLBEING!! Looking on Amazon I would also avoid any soldering iron or soldering iron kit that looks similar. (IT appears that the same item is sold under different brand names and through different/same sellers! To say that I am disappointed is an understatement; I am disgusted that electrical items of this appalling quality are offered for sale. Consequently there can be no star rating in any category. (Despite Amazon not allowing me to submit my review unless I select at least one star?) I received this item and pre-heated it as instructed, then started to use it. First thing to note is that the temperature control does not work. The iron achieves the same temperature whether you select 'High' or 'Low' temperatures and the metal part of the iron glows red hot. After approximately three minutes of use (on supposed 'low' temperature) the soldering iron simply fell apart as I put it down on its rest for the first time. (Please see attached photo.)This is extremely dangerous as this item is plugged into the mains electric supply and is extremely hot. Although Amazon Prime is happy to refund me in full, the advice I would give is simply avoid this product and anything that looks like it at all costs if you value your personal wellbeing. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

it works but there's a shocking amount of smoke coming out of the housing and barrel which is slightly concerning

Turned it on and went off to find some tools to do the job with and came back to this glowing red hot!!! Got unplugged straight away as it is clearly a health hazard and fire risk, Didn't do the job it was puchased for, Bob hope and no bloody hope of me even touching it, Have now ordered one from another retailer where it will be collected face to face. CE marked clearly not an official CE mark as it would not of passed the european quality control standards My only suggestion to anyone looking at purchasing and using this item DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK IT'S QUITE CLEARLY A FIRE RISK AND HEALTH HAZARD!!!!!!! 💩💩💩💩💩
