Snailfly Upgraded Crossbars Fit for 2015-2026 Volvo XC90 Lockable Roof Rack Cross Bars Cargo Accessories, Work for Flush Side Rails

Purchased the Snailfly Upgraded Roof Rack Cross Bars for my 2020 Kia Telluride SX. They were easy to install and look great. I have used them to carry multiple items through all kinds of conditions both in the US and multiple trips to Canada. They have performed flawlessly. After several years of ownership, one of the lock covers came loose and blew off while driving down the highway. I reached out to Snailfly to inquire about purchasing a replacement, since it was well beyond any warranty. I was pleasantly surprised when Snailfly decided to send me not one, but TWO, covers completely free of charge! What a great company.

I am satisfied with my decision to purchase the Snailfly Upgraded Roof Rack Cross Bars. The installation was easy, only taking a few minutes to get installed. It fits well on the vehicle, feels sturdy, and accurately matches the product description.

These roof racks are surprisingly easy to install and the clamps seem to hold onto the roof rails strongly. The clamps are also coated in rubber so they do not scratch the painted rails. The locks and plastic covers on the outside are fairly cheap feeling, time will tell how long they last. The size is perfect for our 2021 XC40, they fit perfectly. Cross bars are sturdy, hardware is good quality, bolts attaching crossbars on the outside are stainless steel. No wind noise up to 75 mph highway speeds in the position that I mounted them. Overall, for the price, they are a good purchase.

I am debating between 4 or 5 stars. I think the price put it on the upper tier. Don't really care that the box doesn't have any branding but comparing to other options, I like the fact the key holes on the side plates have a cover. Hopefully they won't get rusted like previous bicycle racks that I had installed in the past. I took me almost two hours because I was adjusting the distance for my vintage sears cargo xl box. With holiday travel around the corner, I hope I have enough space for kids, pets, and Xmas presents. Additionally, still has enough clearance to open sunroof with no problem.

It took a couple of days, but I finally got the covers to fit... Okay, here's the TLDR version: They look good, almost like OEM, and very sturdy compared to others that I have tried and did not work. Fit and finish are a 6.5 out of 10. Covers require some manipulation, it's not just about using a torque wrench... I had to put some pressure on the plastic just below the lock to get the locks to engage... CAUTION: With the torque wrench set at 50LBS as the directions said, it stripped out the screwheads... Looks and performance: The fit and finish are not perfect, but good enough. They pass the 10ft and 3 ft tests. They look very similar to the OEM parts, and the connection to the rail is very sturdy. They seal off well on the top, and I looked for the clamps to have hooks on both sides to catch the contours on the rails which these do. Some of the "universal" cross bars have a flat side and no matter how much you tighten them, you can pull them off by hand. I gave these a thorough testing and I am confident they will do well. Installation and Instructions: The instructions are not great... but if you are intuitive they are pretty easy to install. The biggest challenge I had was determining the location of the bars. After doing some research, I placed them over/near the door seams. - Make sure they are at least 30 inches apart. - The distance from the top of the windshield is important for reducing wind noise, other the front door seam did pretty well for me. Tightening these was also a bit of a mystery. I hand-tightened them with the Allen Key that was provided, and even at that, they seemed pretty sturdy. However, the instructions call for a torque wrench set at ~50lbs. I was never able to actually tighten them down to the point where the torque wrench released. I ended up stopping out all of the screwheads (if this happens, you can use some channel-lock of vise grip pliers and get the screws off. The screws are M6 x 100 35mm) We went out for a drive and got up to 65 mph and didn't have any noticeable wind noise. As I mentioned above, the position/distance from the top of the windshield will be key to minimizing the noise.

look and fit great on my cx-50, and easy to install. i can’t hear them at all when driving, even at 60+ mph.

These work perfectly on my 2021 Sorento. Be sure to read reviews and watch videos for highly useful advice about how best to install.

All in all, I was pretty skeptical to see how solid it could attach. Pretty happy overall. Haven't used it a ton, but seems as solid as the others I've used on other vehicles that were bolted to the top. VEHICLE: 2021 KIA TELLURIDE EX V6 (no sport trim or anything) Just gotta pay attention to which is the longer bracket and which is shorter. The little cover caps detach from the TOP side. It isn't very clear, and I tried pulling it from the bottom (wedging a flathead screwdriver between the panel at the bottom). So, flathead screwdriver between the TOP middle is the way to go. There was enough adjustment in the brackets for sure for what I need it for. I'd say to set it up: 1. Put screws in for the bars and the attachments loose enough (not too loose though as it will be annoying to tighten them a lot after the bar is installed on the roof). 2. Loosen the clasps on the arms a great deal to make it a lot easier to attach. Go ahead and attach one arm fully to the vehicle and tighten it down, then match up the other side to mirror the length down the SUV's rail. Tighten the front one first. 3. Then proceed to install the back rail the same way. Make sure if you have a specific carrier in mind, this would be your best time to place out how far apart you'd want the rails before you tighten them all up. All in all, with the little screwdriver key that you get, nothing you can't do without other tools. Taking the key cover plate just needs a vehicle key or something if you didn't have a screwdriver on hand. Seems sturdy. Looks nice enough. The only improvement that I could see is that if there were a loop on either front or back bars so that you could attach a strap or rope direct to the mount, rather than having to loop a strap around and tightening it another way. That was something I kind of forgot I liked about my other roof carrier cross bars.

Ces barres transversales sont extrêmement solides et très bonne fabrication, s’installent très facilement sur mon Mazda CX50. La barre la plus longue va à l’avant du véhicule et la barre la plus courte à l’arrière, avec les serrures intégrées cela rend ces barres très sécuritaire… du moins beaucoup plus compliqué à voler. De plus, suffisamment de place pour ouvrir le toit ouvrant… super! Je recommande fortement ces barres car elles sont à moitié du prix de l’original Mazda et mieux conçu que les barres Mazda.
