My wife heard me talking about needing a platform lift for quite a while since I've gotten older and lifting heavy things off the floor hurts more these days. So I scoured online sources for a deal on a used lift, but they were either too expensive, too far away and or overkill for our needs (typically full 5 gallon buckets). She happened onto this one on Black Friday at a very reasonable price, so after reading the reviews we ordered it. It arrived two days early. The packaging was very well done. Despite some damage to the box, there was no shipping damage to the lift. It is heavy, so you may need another person to help you move the box to get it to your assembly area or use a hand truck like I did. My initial impression when I opened the box was the welds all look very good, the fit and finish are excellent and overall quality rivals any of the big name commercial brands. I read the instructions prior to assembly and then followed them step by step. The instructions are very clear, well written and illustrated. Be sure and keep them since they also include maintenance and repair sections. I had it unpacked, put together and fully functional, by myself, in less than 45 minutes. It comes with a hex wrench for two of the bolts, but you'll need some metric wrenches for the rest of the threaded fasteners. The forks, platform and front wheel extensions assemble with pins and the crank handle folds, so it will be very east to break down for storage if space is limited. The brakes are foot pedal operated, easily accessible and lock the rear wheels hard, so there's no danger of it moving on you when you're loading or unloading. Lifting a full 6 gallon bucket (approx. 50 lbs.) off the floor to workbench height was almost effortless. If you have to cross a threshold or other irregularity in the floor, simply tip it back like a hand truck. The rear wheels are on ball bearings and it moves like a breeze. Even if we'd paid full retail price for this lift, it would've been worth every penny. I highly recommend this platform lift. I'm "only" leaving five stars because Amazon won't let me leave TEN!

Having such a big dolly with forks I was nervous it would take up too much space, but it is actually compact. I keep my generator on there so I can move it around the warehouse. Occasionally when I need it, I’ll move pallets and it works great! It rolls pretty good on uneven surfaces but not with too much weight so I’d put it in a smooth surface for the best use. It was easy to assemble, 2 person assembly.

Very happy with this purchase. Assembly was quick and easy, and it has proven to be a very versatile and functional tool. I just wish I had gotten it earlier! There are a number of similar tools available, but I chase this because the arms, feet, and table are all fastened with a cotter pins and not bolts, making it quick and easy to partially disassemble for storage if needed. Note that the table does not go flat to the ground, so you need to tip heavy objects up and then onto the arms/table, making it a 2-person operation. The locking pin for the handle has not been necessary so far, but it is nice to have the insurance this provides. The radius of cranking wheel is small enough that it does not transfer a lot of force onto the rope. I was a bit concerned that this has a nylon rope and not a steel cable, but so far this has not been an issue. My only other issue is that the hard wheels make it difficult to pull the lift up over thresholds while it is loaded. I solved this by using a hand truck with inflated wheels to get loads over the steps and then transferred the load to the lift. (This also made tipping the load up to get it onto the table trivial.)

I do handyman work and initially bought this for jobs that normally need a second hand for lifting stacked dryers off of washing machines. While I had it in my shop I found myself using it all the time for lifting wood and pellet stoves, big espresso machines, and other big units while working on them. It is pretty stable, even with 300lbs lifted at max height on a good level floor. It is kind of a pain in the butt to transport, as it’s heavy, and pretty much has to be broken down into its smaller components to be able to easily handle up and down stairs. However, they fact that they designed it to break into smaller pieces, is a really nice design consideration. Two major design flaws I see with it: 1. The swivel castors would be more useful at the back of the unit for maneuverability’s sake, although this would lead to other clearance issues in the design 2. The spring loaded locking pin to lock the raiding platform in place is too anemic to do its job. This pin is necessary to lock the platform when transporting the parts of the lift, to mitigate the lift from sliding over your fingers and shearing them off. Even with the pin engaged, the platform is just too much mass for the pin to secure. Also, If it accidentally engages while you are trying to raise the platform with the crank, it easily bends and gets destroyed, resulting if necessary removal of this safety feature. Other than issue # 2 (#1 is somewhat insurmountable), this is a fantastic unit, especially if you value the health of your back for lifting.

This is a well-made steel wheeled tool with a manual crank winch I use to easily lift heavy items into the truck. I work items onto the steel platform and can lift it to the height of my truck bed. The locking wheels make it great to work with, moving items on to and off of the platform. It is surprisingly stable. When unlocked, it rolls nicely. 90% of the time, I use it to load and unload the truck, but it has come in handy getting heavy items on to lower and middle shelves. You can remove the platform and use the forks to lift pallets of material.

One of those rare purchases that exceed expectations. Quality of workmanship is exceptional. Operation is outstanding. Competitive with commercial/industrial units costing 3X or 4X. A life saver for this senior with 3 prior back surgeries. It’s well worth the money and used within its stated limits should last a lifetime of home use. For constant everyday in an industrial setting, spend the 3X -10x for an industrial grade unit. But for us occasional users with <500# loads this is my go to device.
