Great for Military Training!
This sets up easy & tears down in seconds. Much more comfortable to sleep in than on in vehicles while at annual military training! The tent allows for ample space & is stable while sleeping. I did not experience rain while using it so cannot comment on its ability to be waterproof.

Convenient, sturdy in a wind. Strong-rain-safe w/rainfly.
No it isn't horse proof! I think one horse thought it was a couple of hay bales beside one another ....... but I scared them off. That was fun! This thing is great! After a quick fold-up I started out storing it behind the passenger seat but couldn't easily reach though to the back seat well. I optioned later to store it above some added cargo straps that I draped across the front and back sets of entrance handles, sometimes provided in cars, that will fold down to aid a person entering the vehicle. So barely enough room for the top of my head and forget the interior ceiling light, really unneeded as I have front map lights that are brighter anyway. Get the rainfly, it can be quickly placed in a strong rain if needed and then secured better once back inside the tent. When I want to entertain a breeze, I keep it folded inside should a strong rain sneak up later and wake me after a peaceful driftin' off. The storage case is nice now that it is home, but seldom used it on the road. Being separated from the somtimes wet/insect-filled ground is great but after arriving in cooler climates I debated on just what I could use as extra needed insulation below me, as the provided foam pad insert works well for stability but does little to keep out the cold. As an extra foam pad just seemed to defeat the portablilty issue, I decided on just an extra regular sleeping bag. The current small "down" bag I was using would insulate fine from the top as it would stay fluffy, but as my weight would compress the "down" below me I found it did little to keep me warm from underneath, but was exceptional to team-up with the new one as an insert. I have yet to try the giant "down" bag that was later given to me by my older brother, as I proceeded along my journey. I should mention the screening is great, I doubt the almost microscopic "No-Seeums" could even pose a problem. Also I got the more expensive version with aluminum stucture which I would strongly advise from the standpoint of less weight and freedom from possible corrosion. I even bought some pvc pipe and cheap bungee cords and made a sort of canopy using the rainfly and its zipper-open entrance.[...]

Great Value
Great cot tent for the money! Very easy to set up, not very heavy, and did well in the light rain I used it in!! Really enjoying this cot tent this summer! Would buy again. Oh, almost forgot I'm 6'6" tall and 290 pounds and fit in it no problem!!

Kamp Rite Tent Cot
The Original Tent Cot fits me good. I am 5'11" (181cm) and 165 pounds (75kg) and I have enough room to FEEL comfortable. I can sleep on my side and turn about inside it. When you sit into it or out of it you have to duck. The craftmanship is good, it FEELS secure, sturdy. It can be put up and taken down with ease. It is about a 32" square object when compacted. You need to buy the rainfly, if it is not included with the tent cot for assurance of staying dry. Within the Tent Cot are two pouches that hang from the top that can accomodate a portable audio device, keys, cellular telephone, wallet, ear plugs, handkerchief, and a little more small items. The loops on the zippers are large enough to add small locks. I intend to add an air mattress to feel like I am sleeping on a cloud. Ventilation is excellent. I sleep in it with a sleeping bag and bed pillow on my balcony. My ONLY wish is that it were a little wider. Kamp Rite does make an Oversized Tent Cot as well as a Double.

Cot-Tastic
Needed a "cot" solution for sleeping in my Grizzly Tracker 1860SC. This boat has a floor area of about 72". Most cots have a footprint of more than 72" and would not fit in the floor space area of this boat. This product has legs that only span (footprint) about 3 feet (legs are 37" long by 25" wide) and so it sits perfectly in the floor of the boat. The fold'up ends rest on the boats second level or seat but only create a small incline which after testing (laying down inside) should not present a problem (the cot sits about 12" off the ground. If you are in the cot the middle sags a few inches so maybe 9" of clearance. Plenty of room to put your shoes, misc. items)..All straps, plastic hooks and buckles are made of fair quality, plastic material. They have put some type of foam-rubbery mat for what you sit/lay on which is sort of weaved into the tent material that encloses the sleeping area. The seat support material (canvass-tent-like)is the most durable on the product and the stitching seems to be extra heavy as this will take the most stress. All the zippers are heavier duty than what you would see on a typical tent. Stitching and tent material seems reasonable (surrounding tent material is a little thin but zippers are big and sturdy. The whole "ChairTent" folds up easily and it came with a cool carrying case that is plenty big enough to slide the whole thing into and zip close (You don't have to smoosh, crush , smash, force the product into the carrying case like most tents due to the case being too small).. The carrying case is heavy duty with straps that seem well sewn. There are openings (cot-tent) at both ends that unzip as well as both sides. Although, I have not tested it in rain, it would appear that it would stay dry (when all zipped up) in even a heavy down pour. It takes up more than 3ft square after folded and in the case. Not something you are going to backpack but perfect for boat, truck or emergency guest (put the drunk aunt outside). At 6'1" I can lay in the cot and my feet and head do not hang off the ends (sleeping area 25" side to side and 80" length). There is not a lot of room for extra goodies inside the cot-tent (side to side), but you can easily add your sleeping bag, pillow and book without a problem (no gadgets like drink holders..there are two hanging pouches/bags above head/feet for "accessories" you can fit cell phone, small light, etc.) . At under 200lbs, the cot has no problems supporting my weight. If the product doesn't fall apart after a couple of uses I will change the rating to LOVE IT.
