A Solid Choice for Kendama Enthusiasts
The Kendamas feels well made and capable of withstanding the rigors of play. As someone who enjoys a challenge, the full-size design of these is a major plus. The solid wood contributes to a satisfying weight and professional feel, enhancing the overall playing experience. While there is a learning curve with this game, the satisfaction of mastering advanced tricks makes it worthwhile.

Paint does chip/dent
We're having fun with these, but I will warn that after 3 days the paint does chip and show dents. Currently doesn't effect the durability of it, was just surprised that it looks so dented after just a few days. And we haven't tried the pointed in, just the spoon type ends. I can't imagine how scratched up it will be once we start trying to land the point.

Exceptional finishing, good value
For those who remember the Kendama wave about a decade ago, these will be a trip down memory lane. These were everywhere and they definitely fit the old saying, "fun to learn hard to master". I was so glad to be able to share these with our kiddos nowadays. I'm a bit rusty and they have better hand-eye coordination, but it's nothing that some practice won't cure. These were packaged well enough to not be damaged in shipping. And the construction and finish is exceptional- much nicer than what I remember. The blue is a slightly saturated light-blue, the pink is a bit muted. Wood grain is visible through the coloring, which is intentional and looks nice. The company is based in the US, but these are made in China for those who are wondering. Overall, we're really happy with these, and glad they come in a two-pack. For $22.99 (at time of review), this represents a good value, especially considering the excellent quality.

Hours of Frustrating Fun
Played with these before and it was definitely a challenge. These can be played with over and over again and the fact that it comes with two its great because you can challenge a friend and see who gets it first. Now there's not really a guide or instruction manual on it but the goal is to get the ball on either sides and also to see if you can land it on the stick. The quality of the paint is great and the wood finish is also good, no splinters or sharp areas to hurt yourself on.Packaging could definitely use work.

Quality and sturdy
These catch toys are such fun! I never knew they were called kendamas when I played with them as a kid. If you search "kendama" trick videos, there's so many to choose from. These kendamas are solid pretty wood and the balls are painted wood in two colors. They are a nice physical challenge for kids and a good gift.

Love toys like this, well-made, not easy to master
I love toys like this, which challenge your hand-and-eye coordination, but they can also have a lot of other amazing tricks. These are well-made, and they give you an extra string, but I cannot speak to their durability yet. You do have to be careful and not hurt yourself (particularly your knuckles), so it's good to teach kiddos how to avoid this. I would recommend these for 10 and up. If anything changes, I will update my review accordingly. Definitely recommend.

Fun to play with and improves hand eye coordination
It is nice that you get two in one package and they are ready to use. They look good and are made of some nice hard wood and decent string. Should last for a long time if taken care of. I would suggest a light sand of the handle and cups and perhaps a coat of boiled linseed oil and/or beeswax or other protective sealer. The handle does not have a fine finish the grain has definitely raised. Yet, it is not so bad as to not be able to play with. I did not get any slivers it just feels a tiny bit rough.
