Cover is well built and very easy to install in a 2016 Tacoma. Fits perfectly and looks very finished in use.Of course, it is not 100% waterproof, but should do the job very well unless you have something extremely sensitive to water on the floor of the truck bed, i.e. cardboard boxes that might soak up any of the small puddles that eventually get into the truck bed. A bed mat and/or plastic containers should mitigate most of the risk.I am disappointed in the security of the latch design. Of course, no bed cover can resist a determined thief with a prybar or other tools. But a crook with a little initiative could easily design a way to reach in and unlatch the wire pull openers with very little effort. There are workarounds on the internet to make the cover and latches more secure, but due to the lightweight materials, and compact design for folding, those options are somewhat limited. Other fixes are more secure, but interfere with the convenience of using the cover.None of these concerns are a dealbreaker. I am very happy with the cover and I'm sure I'll get many years of use from it.

The backflip cover was easy to install, it is very sturdy, and securely covers the bed. The mechanism to unfold. It is also very easy to operate, with many different options for partial opening.

This tonneau cover was highly rated online. It was also the most expensive, but consistently highly rated. It took about 2 hours to install solo with a couple of clamps. I just got the truck, so I couldn't bring myself to drill the drainage holes in the bed for the drainage tubes, so I just taped them closed.Great cover, waterproof and secure. I'm pleased with the purchase.

Chose this BAK Revolver X2 Hard Rolling Truck Bed Tonneau Cover because I wanted a hard top, but did not want to spend the money on a one piece top that had to be taken off of bed if needed to haul large items. This was a straight forward installation when following the instructions that was specific for my truck. When looking at the generic instructions, it was a little harder to understand what actually went where. Did watch a You Tube video about this cover before the purchase. The cover does get very hot as stated in the video, but so far I have not had the felt fall off of the aluminum slats.The reason I rated 4 stars was because when I installed the cover, it was sitting a little lower than the tailgate. I ended up adjusting several screws holding the frame to the truck to make it fit right. Somewhere on the instructions it said push down when tightening the screws to keep the cover tight to the truck, but that was not the case. It does leak just a little at the tailgate corners. Not sure anything can be done about that, but it was not enough to make it a problem for me. Maybe a retrofitted gasket or seal would work.I do feel that items in the bed are secure from theft when closed and the tailgate is locked. I am happy with my purchase at this time, but have only had it installed for about two weeks now.

Directions for install were easy to understand in the step by step process. Cover looks good and functions as directed.

Purchased this a year ago for my 22 Tacoma, it had held up great and there have only been some minor inconvenieces. It’s not completely water tight to the bed, but items don’t get soaked. The clips to hold the cover in the 3/4 position are not very strong, but have not had the cover flipped close while driving at highway speed.The 5-star is for their customer service. This past week, again a year after purchase, I noticed two small pieces had broken. I called customer service to purchase new ones and they are sending them free of charge. Thank you very much!!!!

Terrible quality control. Many of the weather strips were pulled off, misplaced, or damaged by BAK’s packaging method right out of the box. See image where seal is damaged - this was due to using a rubber band to hold portion of the assembly together for shipping. Some seals were cut the wrong length and needed trimming. Others looked like they had been cut by a 3 year old with a serrated knife.DESIGN: The overall product design is such that the weather strips will likely peel off in a few months of use due to the use of only adhesive and not mechanically sandwiching them using a plate and screws. This has already started and the top wasn’t even installed yet. (See picture). Another design flaw for the Tacoma model is the last 8 or 10 inches of the rail at the tailgate isn’t secured to anything. What I have found is that the latches will actually push the rail down rather than slide over it to lock when you close the top. This is another design flaw and should be addressed with additional support at the ends of the rails to ensure latching takes place and that the top will remain locked.Additional issue: The top had packaging foam spill from the self inflating bags while it Was still liquid. This adhered to the top at the time of shipping. I have yet to get that completely removed from the top.It says proudly on the side of the box “MADE IN THE USA” - given the quality issues above, I would recommend BAK not to advertise this. I honestly expected this was made in China, given the poor fit and finish.Overall, for the cost, you are not getting the quality you would expect. I would not recommend this product.

Great cover. When you need it, its there sturdy and flush to the truck. When you need the bed it rolls up easily and out of the way. Its pretty easy to install. It fit my 2021 tacoma perfectly. Also i have to give a shout out to BAK, Real Truck, truck hero. Great customer service

Bought this tonneau cover back in 2019 and recently found the rubber seals between each panel shrunk exposing the seam and leaving it open for water penetration. Emailed the company and received a quick response (about half an hour) they stated it was out of the warranty time line, but they would honor the warranty anyway and will resend the entire cover minus the rails. Beyond excellent customer service. Highly recommend this company.

Went on easy enough, just takes a few tools and an afternoon. Looks great on the truck and seems sturdy enough to for my needs

Cover was fantastic and easy to install on my 2019 Tacoma, however the one error we made was when drilling holes to install the drain tube we drilled too deep and hit a fuel filler line. Take extra pro-cation or avoid this step if you feel incline, as no warning is clearly labeled on the instructions.But great product!
