User-friendly and works well
This welder is tiny, lightweight, and works really well. Adjustment is a simple dial with an LED display to show what the amperage output is.I essentially can't weld, since the majority of my experience was decades ago on fluxcore MIG gear.I started with 3/32" 6013 rods, thanks to advice from my buddies. Some dial fiddling was called for, but soon I was putting down horrible beads on some 1/8" plate. The penetration was poor and the beads didn't seem to go where I aimed them.A quick peek at a YouTube tutorial, and I adjusted my amperage way up. Now I was making ridiculous wide flat beads and blowing holes all over my plate. At least now I wasn't false starting nearly every bead!A little bit more fiddling, and I was able to put down a good looking bead. Filler insertion into the parent metal was good, too. This welder runs well with only 110v input. It has survived all my clumsy learning efforts and many mistakes without a hitch. It just starts and goes. Once I had technique and selecting amperage down better, I was able to get good results every time. Now I am able to weld thinwall tubing with it. It does square section tubes with ease, but round is a bear. Results, however, are well worth the trouble. What this all leads up to is, If I can weld using this machine, so can you. It would be a great hobby or light duty welder for someone who actually knows what he's doing.I recommend this good little welder to people of all skill levels

This is a good quality product.
A well made product. I'm an experienced welder and needed a small very portable unit. This welder came with quality components, works well as advertised. Able to do good stainless steel sheet metal welding, good beads, plenty of power for up to 1/8" welding rod.

Works as advertised - easy to learn - great price
This welder is great for learning how to weld. My first test run was very easy and I got more proficient quickly. I suggest a couple of "Beginning Welding" (for stick welding). You can spend more money but the basic functions are all here

Never welded in my life and I was able to weld.
I have never welded in my life, and honestly, the thought was terrifying. My kids are always breaking parts on our bikes, gokarts, and atvs, requiring me to replace the part, or bring to a garage to have professionally welded.Recently, they managed to snap off the exhaust downpipe, and the replacement part was $150. I figured this was the time to get an inexpensive welder, since if I failed at welding, it is not a life critical part.I watched a 5-minute review on this welder, and the reviewer was able to weld with it, so that was good enough for me. I bought the things they told me to buy- The cheapest welding gloves, #10 goggles, wire brush, and welding sticks. The first 2 things I welded were pictured above- The broken exhaust, and a broken spare trailer tire carrier. THe first thing I discovered was you need to remove the paint and make a good contact. The second I discovered was you need to get the current correct. Too high, and it just blasts the metal away.Since then, I have got better. The trick is to get the arc started, then carefully control the distance and movement of the "stick" to get a good bead. At first, I saw lots of sparks and flames, and I thought "this is welding". Nope. Those first 2 welds were terrible, but usable. Now I have a little confidence, and will try some bigger projects. This welder did exactly what I wanted, and there is nothing I would complain about. Maybe the manual? it was sparse and not very helpful. It would also pop the fuse in my house occasionally when running at full current. The outlet I was using was on an ACFI breaker, so that might be the cause.

Horrible - tap tap tap fuse tap tap tap fuse - IMPOSSIBLE to get a bead started.
1 - So bad I ended up series-ing up two 12 volt e scooter batteries and got the job done with 10x better consistency.2 - So bad I new it was a return but figured they must have got the job done, hah no further need and returned - BOY WAS I WRONG!3 - so bad all it does is fuse with so little energy that your can’t keep a puddle going it either fizzles out or you stick adheres to the cooling flux.4 - so bad I recommend purchasing two 20AH 12V batteries and a charger over this.5 - So bad the mosquitoes were tearing me to bloody🩸 shreds because it didn’t even generate enough smoke/fumes to ward them off.6 - So bad it felt like It had to be a joke and someone was going to turn on the power supply and say “haha I gothchya”7 - So bad I couldn’t look at this joke masquerading as a tool for a month. I wanted it OUT OF MY SIGHT so bad I missed the return window!8 - So bad that ai have to give it any stars at all so one star for the paint. It seemed ok. Sparks would spray but only for a moment.9 - So bad you may think I didn’t do something right and YOU will have better luck. NOT A CHANCE!10 - So bad that if this sparkler can weld a motorcycle frame I’ll swap places with a family in Afghanistan and live out my years under Taliban.
