I weigh less than 170 lbs and bought this for my home office chair. The carpet and fabric mat under it are short pile so it stays flat on the floor making it much easier to move to different desk positions. So far I have no cracks or break in over a month of daily use. If it has any downsides, the first is that it ships in a box larger than the mat because it ships flat. However, that means it doesn't have to be unrolled and the edges held down so it's no reason to drop a star. If I have a real problem with it it's because my desk is larger than the mat. I keep some of the mat under the desk so that the chair can roll up to the desk, but that means the mat has to entirely between the end legs of my desk. So, sometimes working at one end of my desk or the other a chair wheel will roll off the mat and unless I try to move the chair while sitting on it one or more of the wheels that have rolled off the mat will catch pretty hard on the edge of the mat. However, I could hardly expect it to behave better and I suspect if I start seeing cracks or breaks in the mat it will be from than but none so far.

If anything changes, I'll update later.Note: I had written an initial review detailing the condition of how this mat had arrived during shipping, which many others have also done. I had a positive, 5 star experience with delivery and Amazon rejected that review. They never say why, or what the "community violation" is which is ANNOYING, then they ask you to edit, but they don't give you access to your original review to edit. Also ANNOYING. Not worth taking the time to give detailed reviews and add pics again, so they may reject this review as well. Idc.Gorilla mat is good for now, though.

If a certain chair mat is shipped to you rolled up, it logically will not have the thickness or sturdiness to ever lay flat. Folks, please spend the extra bucks to get a mat like this one or a similar one. Those few dollars are worth the headache of having to WORK to get them to straighten out by rolling them backwards or giving them a bath in the bathtub. This thing is thick, shipped flat and ready to lay down, and my chair glides easily with no issues. The only inconvenience, as mentioned by another reviewer, was the shipping tag that did not come off easily (while the Gorilla manufacturer's tag did). But you can soak the shipping tag with some isopropyl alcohol, a natural solvent, and you should be able to scrape it off pretty easily. Highly recommend this mat!

Much harder and sturdier than other mats I've gotten, and since it ships flat i feel like its way less prone to cracking like mats I've purchased in the past. It's so solid the chair rolled off it a couple of times at the beginning but now is feeling better. Overall high quality and happy with the purchase, but I'll likely update this review in 6 months to see how its faring.

Clear mat with little nubbies which keep it from slipping around on the rug. I bought this to create a smooth transition from hardwood to a rug because my rolling chair kept getting stuck/caught in the rug. This is great and much better than the first one I got (it was just smooth, flexible plastic but kept moving around).

I've only had it for a couple of weeks now, but it seems to be everything I wanted and expected. Seems well made and the chair rolls well across it. Sturdy fits well in the space. I haven't had any curling issues so far. We'll see how it holds up over time but right now, I'm very pleased.

This floor mat is the sturdiest I've ever had. No cracks or indents like others after use. However, because of that, my rolling stool really slips and slides on it. I have to be VERY careful when sitting down on my stool, so it doesn't slip out underneath me.My small complaint is the shipping. It shipped without any kind of protection wrap or box, so there were a few scuff marks on it. I wanted to return for a fresh one, but it's too much of a hassle to drag this thing back to the UPS store.
