It was a little hard to follow the directions, but quickly figured out how to use and setup as a wifi to Ethernet device. it has a feature to upgrade the firmware that checked the site and automatically will download, but the description make you think you have to download yourself, but was easy to use once you figured out. I had trouble with trying to figure out what external DC device I could use to power this(since I was not using POE),before I purchased. I found you can use the "Facmogu DC 12V 3A Power Adapter, 100-240V AC to DC 12V 3A 36W Power Suppy with Barrel Connector 5.5x2.5mm & 5.5x2.1mm, 12 Volt 3 Amp Desktop Adpater 12V 3A Switching Transformer AC/DC Power Converter" on Amazon worked perfectly. I purchased this to use on my Synology NAS for wifi to Ethernet (since Synology does not have wifi). The only problem I had was it kept logging me out in a few seconds, I was able to fix by going to on Synology Control Panel -> Security -> then enabling "Enhanced browser compatibility by skipping IP Checking" This also fixed me not being DS File not logging in. so far working well

So far, everything works as it supposed to. Warning 1: when first configuring, use 192.168.254.254. After it connects as a bridge to wifi, that no longer works. Use vonets.cfg Warning 2: Avoid updating firmware if possible. Mine was downloading firmware overnight and while doing it, the web interface was not responsive and firmware downloading could not be stopped. Finally, it finished and after resetting, it was back to working. Other than that, it works well. It draws .25A, so easily powered via USB port.

The device is very glitchy. Instructions are typical Chineese English, mostly understandable. I knew what options I wanted, and I set them up, clicked Apply in the web interface, device reboots, and... ignores configured settings. That literally happened 6-8 times, until finally somehow the settings were accepted and device switched to Bridge mode and started working. But it seems, that once configured as Bridge it serves its purpose.

SONYのVAIO TypeGというふた昔以上前のノートパソコンをまだ使っています。WindowsはごまかしながらもWindows 10にアップデートしています。Wordとか使う分には十分まだ使えています。インターネットはビルトインのWifiがあるのですが、さすがに古いためか接続が安定せず有線LANに接続して使っています。今回、このWifiブリッジをVAIOの有線LANポートに接続して、この機器を通じてネットワークにWifiで接続しようと考えました。 この機器はブラウザからIPアドレスを指定して管理画面に入り、接続をコントロールするのですが、VAIOのエッジからはどうしても管理画面に接続できません。VAIOが古すぎるからでしょうか。そこで別の新型のノートパソコンに、このWifiブリッジを接続して、Wifiへの接続パスワードなどをあらかじめ設定しました。新型のパソコンではエッジから正常に管理画面に入れました。その状態で、この機器をVAIOに接続すると、設定したWifiに自動接続してくれました。一度取り外しても初めに設定した接続条件を保持してくれるようです。 それなりに使える機器だと思います。有線LANポートを無線LAN化するのに最適です。上述のように、別のパソコンで、接続方法などを設定して、その状態で取り外して当該機器に移しても、設定を保持してくれます。使用したい機器で設定ができずとも、使うことができるので使い勝手はなかなか優れています。この方法で、有線LANしかないテレビのような家電製品も無線LAN化できそうです。ただ、ネットに接続中は、本体がかなりの熱を持ちます。その点で耐久性が少し不安です。耐久性の不安において、星を一つ減らしました。

J'ai utilisé cet adaptateur en mode répétiteur pour pouvoir utiliser la fiche RJ45 sur mon imprimante pro (RICOH SPC830). Comme elle a un port usb juste à côté du RJ45, le boitier est auto alimenté à l'allumage de l'imprimante, exactement comme je me l'étais imaginé. Il faut simplement brancher d'abord l'adaptateur à son PC afin de le paramétrer (sélection du mode, du réseau, du mot de passe wifi, etc.) et ensuite le brancher à l'imprimante. Tout s'est fait en même pas 10 minutes !

I use this to add WiFi to devices that only have Ethernet ('WiFi Bridge mode'). It works very well and is fairly easy to set up by following the instructions in the manual. Use a device that DOES have WiFi to set it up (plug in Vonets, connect to the 'Vonets' WiFi network, go to 192.168.254.254 in your browser, log in (username: admin, password: admin), tell it to use Bridge mode, connect the Vonets to your wireless network, reboot the Vonets). Once it's set up, you can then connect Vonets to your WiFi-less device and it will see it as a wired connection. Simples. There's a reset button on the back - if you get tangled up, you can always turn the device on, wait 60 seconds, hold reset for 5 seconds, wait another 60 seconds and start from scratch.
