UNIZ zMUD Resin 3D Printer Resin, LCD UV-Curing Resin 405nm Standard Photopolymer Resin with High Precision for LCD 3D Printer (1L, Gray)

I initially purchased several bottles of zMud when it was first released. So far I have used it only with an original (OG) Anycubic Photon. After running the Photonsters’ Resin Exposure Finder v2 and XPS Validation Matrix, I determined the best exposure time on my printer for a 0.05 mm layer to be 14.25 seconds. This is a little slower cure time than Siraya Tech Blu, but much less brittle than Blu. Detail seems comparable to Siraya Fast Grey. What I really like about this resin is how easily it cleans with 91% IPA and how low tack the cleaned surfaces are prior to the post-process curing. Dimensional accuracy seems to be very good with minimal swelling; I’ve been limiting cure exposure times to 10 to 12 minutes total in an Anycubic Cure and Wash V1.I was able to self-tap screws for mounting trucks and couplers to my rail car model without cracking or other issues. I have yet to try drilling out the mounting holes for the hand grab irons, but given the experience with the couplers and trucks am not expecting any issues. If you scrutinize the attached photos, keep in mind for my purposes I printed this model parallel to the build plate, which places maximum peel force on the model during printing. The minimal z-wobble and layer shifting are more products of the printer, print orientation and need for additional supports on the model than the resin. The light brown color tone of zMud should help minimize the amount of mineral oxide red paint needed to finish the model. For reference this model measures approximately 84x28x28 mm.The one issue I had to adjust to is that zMud seems to retain air bubbles longer than other resin I have worked with so far. What that has meant is I make sure to allow the mixed resin to sit 10 to 15 minutes for the bubbles to surface before initiating printing. I deducted one star because it is slightly more expensive than similar quality resins from other manufacturers.

I got this because the price was lower than the rest. So I was worried that somehow it wouldn't work as expected, but it worked great. The end result was nice and hard and strong. Also, I'm new to resin printing so I don't have any advanced comments yet.

It prints decently on a 8k printer. Resin sticks to model and must be cleaned heavily. Better for mid-resolution projects that you just need a cheap resin for.

Love this resin for the detail that it is able to give the only thing I don’t like is it is a little soft so it helps to mix it with another resin

I'm using a elegoo Mars 3 pro no problem what so ever did not need to chang any setting if it print wrong its user error 10 out or 10 also way less oder then some of the top resen out there the dark gray oger girl was with 8k resen 40$ and it looks the same

As a relative noob to 3d printing, I had a hard time getting this stuff to work, as it's settings were so much higher than the previous resins I'd tried. I went from about 3.5-3.7 exposure times to a 6.9! (Creality Halot One, btw). Judging by pics and comments of other users, I really wanted to like this stuff, but spent three evenings failing everything. I finally got it to work and am glad I did. It's become one of my favorite resins for mini's because of the detail and texture. I call it a rubbery terra-cotta.

Mars 3. Tried different printer settings from 2.6 to 4.6 and no go. Problem with supports. They keep failing no matter what. Also every print has some sort of warping. Did not get to cure to find out if cracking occurred as other reviewers stated. Purchased the beige. Great color. I was really hoping this resin would work out. I read some review that say theirs was thick but my bottle was very runny. I am mixing with good old Sunlu so it’s not a complete waste. Thus far Sunlu abs resin has been my go to with zero fails, no matter what I throw at it. Even when I mix it with this stuff.

I’m actually really impressed with the quality received from this resin, the price is unbeatable, less odor and good quality for the price, I believe this is going to be my go to choice for most prints.

resina que usualmente se delamina, se agrietan las figuras impresas, requiere mucho mas soportes para que imprima correctamente, es mas fluida que el agua por lo que es fácil de derramarla y ensuciar el área de trabajo, una contracción moderada de la resina y sobre todo se tuerce demasiado las figuras en el proceso de curado final con lampara uv. No compren este producto quizá por 100 pesos o 200 pesos mas puede conseguir resina de marcas buenas como anycubic, elegoo, voxelab etc. Fue un desperdicio de dinero comprar zMUD, me sentí estafado con esta marca, no es real nada de lo que dice su pagina de internet sobre las caracteristicas de la resina, tal vez el lote venia defectuoso, jamas comprare resina de esta marca nuevamente.

Me gusta el acabado pero nunca había tenido tantos problemas en los soportes con otras resinas
