Durable and Light Weight
Very well made and durable, even though this pack is very light weight. It takes up very little space when folded into it's little pouch. When in use, it easily fits phone, keys, snacks, lip balm, and more, all at once. The material is thin, though, so it can look bulky if you pack a lot. But the material is strong, and being thin is what makes it light weight. Love it!

Perfect lightweight stowable small pack
I love this thing for taking my dog for walks/training. I put the dogs ball, leash, treats, my phone, car key and wallet in it. Very sturdy but also light weight. When empty it reverses into a pocket size pouch.

How and why you collapse this waist pack.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Osprey makes more than one type of waist pack. This ultralight one collapses into a small 4" x 3.5" pouch that is internal to the pack, which means you can easily fit this into a backpack, suitcase or duffle bag, and then unfurled into a full-size waist pack at your destination. Because of this, it's made of a lighter material, but it is plenty sturdy. The other non-collapsible hip pack from Osprey will take over your packing space if you plan to take along while traveling. The non-collapsible a great product for use locally, but not for travel, unless you plan to wear it and never pack it (or have tons of extra pack space in your suitcase or duffle; it's surprisingly big).HOW TO RE-COLLAPSE - It's easy to get confused on how to re-collapse the bag once you've used it. That might be because you remember the Osprey logo being visible while collapsed when first delivered, but here is the thing.... THERE ARE TWO OSPREY LOGOS ON THIS BAG. There is a small internal pouch that must be turned inside-out to reveal the logo that should be visible once the back is collapsible- not the other logo visible when the bag is around your waist. That small, tiny pouch is where you stuff everything, and yes, it will fit and zip shut. Hope this hint helps.

Really roomy and nice, but difficult to pack and pricey.
The title pretty much says it all. When I got it I was shocked at how small the pouch is. When you open it, it is a full size fanny pack that is quite functional, lightweight, comfortable, well built and a pretty slick design. Really like it, but it is pretty hard to get the thing folded up back neatly into a pouch. It usually ends up looking like a ball when packed rather than a nice rectangular zippered pouch. Maybe there's a good way to fold it up that I'm not aware of and if there is, osprey should put a video tutorial on their site or on Amazon here to show you how to fold it up, like a certain technique such as the way you would fold up a parachute for instance. Other than that, it's pretty boss but I think it's also a little too expensive for what it is.

Great lightweight fanny pack
Bought this to use for a week long amusement park trip. It packs into it's own front pocket and takes up barely any room, but when opened up has plenty of space for daily essentials. I used it to carry wallet, keys, battery pack and charging cord, emergency rain poncho, and a couple man wipes. After a week of adjusting around to fit many different types of roller coaster restraint systems, it shows no wears and the zippers still function flawlessly.

Perfect size
Great size for a small collapsible water bottle, my phone and keys. Could even fit a small protein bar in it. All I need for a few mile walk. Folds up in itself easily also.

Gets tiny
I liked it. It's kind of a weird material, but I guess I sort of expected that. It's super light and the way it packs into itself speaks to a backpack camper like me. I brought it to Greece instead of a money belt and I liked it for that. It tucked under my shirt halfway decent. With the way it gets so small and is self contained, I'll consider taking it on a backpacking trip. Not sure it holds enough to be that useful though. So that's a big maybe.
