This shoe is awesome!
I just bought my third pair for myself and everyone in my family has a pair. They are perfect for those who hike trails that require crossing creeks or small rivers. The leather and mesh upper provides support and keeps anything bigger than sand out of the shoe, while still allowing it to drain quickly. I do a lot of stream fishing in the Wyoming Rockies and I can't stand waders. These shoes are designed for walking in streams and have fantastic tread that resists slipping in the water, and still has excellent traction on the trail. Merrell has a sandal version of this, but it lets pebbles and rocks into the footbed which can be painful, so for me the mesh is a must. The only drawback that I can think of is if you have weak ankles. I haven't found this design in a mid for the extra ankle support. I have tried many different Merrell, Keen, and Columbia hiking shoes, but I usually end up giving them away. For me, nothing beats the All Out Blaze Aero Sport Hiking Water Shoe.

Okay..but
I had the original version of this shoe years ago. I absolutely loved them. Hike, bike, swim, you name it, I did it in these shoes. They were worn out and had to be retired. I was thrilled to see them available on Amazon. They look exactly the same as my original pair, but their are some definite differences.-The toe box is wide enough, but not as wide as the original.-I developed a blister on my left heel after a 30 min walk on easy/flat dirt terrain. This never happened with the original.-because of the aforementioned, I suppose a break in period is necessary, which was, again, not the case for the original.-The stitching on these do not seem to be at the same quality as the originals. I foresee them breaking down MUCH quicker.I'll be keeping them, as the sole is still the most comfortable I've found in a hiker/water hybrid shoe. I am hoping a solid break-in will have them good to go, but I will upgrade to another shoe after these. The decrease in quality will only get worse.

These shoes stole this mountain girls heart.
These shoes are fantastic. You'll notice I attached a picture below of my beat up merrells. These shoes have gone with me to the bottom of the grand canyon, the top of mountain, across rivers, up cliffs, and I've worn them to work 40 hours a week for an entire year. I work in fast paced retail. They have held up to every single beating I've put them through and more. At this point they're held together with cake icing and pure love. The break in period is short. It only took me about 3 days to get comfortable in them. The fit is comfortable and breathable. My feet have never felt slick with sweat. The gripping power is strong. It's stood up to slick rock, moss covered river rock, and icing slicks on the floor.Added bonus, they make my feet look small. The only complaint I have is that the shoelaces don't stay tired.I will most definitely be buying these again and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a damn good pair of shoes.

Exceeded expectations
I am so happy with these shoes. I was looking for a pair of quick drying hiking shoes specifically for creeks since we pretty much live for creek hiking in the summer. But they exceeded my expectations, and I now where them for gardening, errands, walks and creek hiking! I expected them to get a little stinky after wading through creek water, but no. They dry very fast and clean up easily. They are super comfy with or without socks. They are so convenient and I love them!

Love them
This is my second pair. The first lasted me a few years, and once they were ready to be retired I already knew I was going to get another pair. I did try some Salomon shoes and absolutely hated them. They were stiff, uncomfortable. So far Merrell’s are the only shoe I’ve bought that I can receive them and go hiking the next day without having to break them in. Love them would absolutely recommend
