Elixir® Strings Anti-Rust Plated Plain Steel Single String (.016)

The only g string I'll ever buy. It is the most durable string I've found so far and has a really good stretch to it.

The anti-rust treatment holds up best under acidic sweat, lasting months before showing degradation. I bought this to replace a Martin Lifespan 2.0 plain steel string that was supposedly treated for corrosion resistance, but tarnished after only a couple of hours of playing - just like an untreated string.

Imagine my frustration when I snapped the high E string of my new Elixir 80/20 Nanoweb set, while re-stringing my guitar. A few clicks of the mouse and a couple days later, I had a 4 pack of Elixir .010 e strings. Problem solved.

My Taylor guitar came with Elixir strings. Having used others on older instruments, I wouldn't recommend anything but Elixir for maintaining tone over time. These strings don't go dead.

I was a bit pissed to find out this was for ONE string and not multiple strings of the same gauge. It’s not specific one way or the other and for the price I thought surely this is for more than one. Nope.
