Embattled SEAL (Lost and Found Book 4)

I just love J M Maddens books about the lost and found team, all of them so far have earned 5 stars, but this one had to only have 4 stars, I am really sad to say this. Preston was a good story, but it felt a bit light weight. After all the others it was too short, and I am so sorry to have to say this.I will wait for the next book, hopefully about Duncan, with anticipation. I still love you though J.M. This book was a little disappointing. A good read but neither emotionally gripping nor action packed. The Lost and Found crew are barely in it which means it really is just the main protagonist Harper and his lady- Cat with small cameo roles from some of the others. For me this let it down. The story lacked that something extra. This series is about brave heroes who have overcome trauma and being romances find their HEA. This particular story is about that too but I feel it over simplifies both PTSD and relationships thus ending up with a story that doesn't quite hit the right notes. Don't get me wrong, I liked it well enough, just not as much as the others in the series and I felt it didn't engage me as much. Having said that I will read the next one.

As always with this series of novels the character and story development is well paced; giving the reader a true insight into how relationships can be affected by military service but the power that comes from being open.I have thoroughly enjoyed all the LNF books that I have downloaded, they are great novels - strong characters dealing with their own issues but still compelled to serve...will keep an eye out for more books in the series.

I feel as though I've been waiting for this book in the series for forever but oh it was sooo worth the wait, J.M madden has the talent of drawing you in with every word written and you feel all the emotional ups and downs this was a fantastic addition to the series I can't wait for the next!

This is a wonderful series full of strong characters. Harper is such a man, strong and silent but fearful of his strength. It takes a life threatening injury for him to realise what is important in his life. Highly recommend this book

Book 4 in the series and probably the one I enjoyed the most. This had backstory, depth and loads of characters who brought something to the table.Love this one!
