Excellent paper at this price.
This is a great bible. I got this explicitly to rebind in goatskin leather, so I can't speak to the stock cover. The first one I got had a defect; one signature was pulling away from another. Returned it and got a good copy on my second try. This has a sewn binding and VERY opaque Korean paper. The printing is clear and crisp and easy enough to read daily. This may be my favorite layout of the NASB95 other than something very high end like the Schuyler Quentel. Very happy with this!

Solid Bible with its flaws
COVER & DESIGNA simple, brown leathertex cover - so smooth to the touch! The spine has the words "|| HOLY BIBLE || NEW AMERICAN STANDARD BIBLE 1995 || (blank) || LARGE PRINT || NASB Lockman Foundation" imprinted onto the leathertex, with the ISBN on the back right corner of the book.A very simple design, and that's perfectly okay. The grains are beautiful and it makes it seem like it's real leather. It is flexible, and stays flat when opened. One complaint is that the cover can damage easily; mine has a single scratch on the front from mishandling it.SIZEIt's for sure a compact Bible. Obviously, it's not going to fit in your pocket, but it will fit in a purse or bag, in your glove box or in your car, and can easily be carried in a Bible case or just in your hand, with no issues. The exact dimensions are in the description.PAGESThe edge of the pages on the outside are gilded gold. Pretty standard on some Bibles. I've had this Bible for about a year, used it as a daily Bible for about 6 months, and the gold hasn't worn off.In the front is a simple "Presented to" page, followed by a record of marriage, and entries for a family tree, births, deaths, and occasions to remember. There is also a foreword with some history behind the translation itself and some words in the Bible, which I found to be informative. In the back is an Introduction to the Books of the Bible, which is really nice - I wish more Bibles had that. It tells you what each book's main theme or story is in a single paragraph. Super useful for people that aren't sure what each book contains. There are also maps of the Old and New Testament, which are pretty standard. No concordance, nor a "where to turn when..." page, which may be a deterrent for some.A single blank page in the back for anyone that takes notes or wants to write a personal message.TEXTThis Bible uses the New American Standard translation from 1995, which, I, personally, like. It's more straightforward and is easy to read, in my opinion. No deuterocanon / apocrypha. The text is 9 pt font, which is about standard for a compact Bible. Very easy to read.Single column pages, which makes for this Bible to be thinner than a Bible with 2 columns per page.Footnotes are at the bottom of some pages, indicating what the original Hebrew or Greek word was literally - alongside the definition - or perhaps what it was impying. Footnotes also denote physical locations, as well as short forms of names, or units of measurement and currency. I find them to be useful, as I like having a "literal" translation, which the NASB1995 is considered the most "word-for-word" translation we have. This version does contain the 16 infamous "omitted" verses, such as Matthew 17:21, Mark 7:16, John 5:4, and Romans 16:24, with a footnote stating that "Early manuscripts do not contain this verse."Jesus' words are not in red - they're the same as the rest of the text. Could be a selling point for some folks; not a major one for me.The words "He" and "Him" and such are capitalized when referring to Jesus and to God, which is nice.A new paragraph, train of thought, or thematic change is noted with a pilcrow (¶), mostly in the OT. An example would be in Job 3:1-10, with Job 3:11-19 starting with a pilcrow (¶), and another one at Job 3:20-26.In both the OT and the NT, there is a heading above a paragraph break, noting what the new theme is. For example, the heading for Matthew 7:1-6 is "Judging Others," and after that, it breaks, and the heading above Matthew 7:7-12 is "Prayer and the Golden Rule". Useful for quickly finding verses, it's similar to when a Bible has the heading on top of the page, but more specific. There is plenty of space next to text for taking notes.Unfortunately, there are no cross-references in this version.OVERVIEWSolid Bible. This would make a great gift for anyone, including yourself! Sometimes, simple is the best, in terms of design. I am a fan of how literal the text can be, though I am not a fan of no cross-references. The headings are a nice touch, and it's a very easy-to-read translation. I both like and dislike that Jesus' words aren't in red - I like being able to pick out what He said, but I also don't mind it looking more uniform. At the end of the day, God's Word never fails, and will always find a way to reach His people. Thanks for reading my review.God bless you, and have a great day!

The copyright year edition
It says it’s a 1995 like copy-write translation but it’s not it’s actually 2020 it’s not bad it just sound different I thought it was a 1995 but it was I was bit disappointed. It’s large print it’s not big enough but it’s in-between those who use reading glasses will have to maybe for this it’s not small small print extra small or small print so that is good though. But even though those 2 things didn’t work out it’s still a solid Bible you can’t go wrong with a NASB also check out the legacy Bible it’s like more updates NASB but they use Yahweh and things like that yeah if u get LSB you won’t at be disappointed.
