Needed a couple of inline couplers for extending Ethernet runs, and these did exactly what they’re supposed to do. The connections are snug, the latch holds tight, and I’m getting full speed through them with zero drop in performance. No wiggle, no random disconnects, no cheap-feeling internals. They’re rated for everything from Cat5e through Cat8, and so far they’ve handled high-speed traffic without any issues at all. Simple, reliable, and way better than some of the flimsy couplers I’ve used in the past. If you need a clean, low-profile way to join two cables without sacrificing performance, these are a solid buy. Would get them again without hesitation.

As a person that can be paranoid about buying any networking products, I tore down this connector and validated there are no chips on the PCB. Just traces linking the connections from one side to the other. The housing is also very sturdy and was pretty hard to pry apart, which speaks to the quality of the construction.

I have approx. a 100ft cat5 run and it was 3 feet too short to reach my router, so I used this coupler and a small cable to make up the difference. I connected my computer on the other end and ran a Speedtest (picture of results provided). I have gigabit service and this is roughly the same speed I see at the router (wired). I am very satisfied with this coupler since there was no loss in speed (capable of 750+ mbps). I also tried the UGREEN CAT6 Ethernet Extension Cable and got no signal whatsoever. No connection with the UGREEN cord. Buy this coupler instead, works much better.
