Well made. Works well on an outside wooden garden door.No issues.

Firstly, the lock I received looked like a return, the box was ripped open and very poorly taped back up again. There were no instuctions in the pack and some of the fittings were not in their packets.That being said, there was no obvious damage to the lock itself.Downloaded fitting instuctions and proceded, all pretty straightforward, just check measurements before cutting the hole. The final stage of assembly is a bit fiddly but doable with care.The lock itself is smooth working both with the latch inside and key outside. Goos point to note, this can ONLY be locked with the key or latch, there is no chance of being locked out if the door slams shut.Would have been 5 stars had the packaging been intact

I kept getting locked out by the traditional sprung loaded Yale lock. The last time I had to hack it off the door in order to get in. This prompted me to opt for this dead bolt product. It was easy to install and works brilliantly. On the negative side, just make sure you cut the tang from the cylinder the right size. If its slightly too long e.g. mm's it will bind and be hard to lock. However, its easy to use a small craft file to reduce the length after cutting. Simply file a bit then test and file some more until you get a smooth action.

Really good lock once you get it fitted correcting.Yale need to work on the design of the fitting though, there is a metal bar that goes through from back to front of door and it's really really tricky to get this cut to the right length and then everything mounted together. Fair few curse words and one broken barrel later (shove too hard and a delicate retaining ring brakes) I got it fitted but not without some remaining worries it would jam and lock us in.The lock itself, once fitted, is great - it's so easy to lock/unlock from the inside and no risk of locking yourself out without a key.

I have been using this as the main lock on my door for over a year and I much prefer it over night latches. It's sturdy and easy to open / close and most of all it makes me feel more secure in my home.Pros: It's impossible to lock yourself out and the lock is harder to break into than a normal night latch type of lock.Cons: None so far.I recommend getting this lock in combination with a Mortise lock for maximums security.

3/5 i give rating instalation is easy. but sure the handel or inside mechanicel handel after 2-3 year of use it will brake that why i buy this one to replace the broken inside handel.. soo is same material i just wait to buy this over-price yale deadlock...in 456day's...
