Love it!
Great book with amazing activities for kids in hospitals. Although most of them can be used for all kids not just kids in need of therapeutic play.

Excellent Resource for Professionals
Robyn Hart and Judy Rollins have penned a well-written book full of creative, age-appropriate activities and suggestions for children with health issues. I particularly enjoyed reading the section regarding the development of self-esteem, and the photography activity is relevant for children who have difficulty expressing themselves. I highly recommend this book for other professionals working with children. Many activities foster resilience and promote problem solving skills. With my experiences working with individuals with disabilities, I absolutely love that suggestions for adaptations for activities are made to allow for participation for those with a wide variety of physical and mental challenges.Johanna Slivinske, MSWAuthor of Storytelling and Other Activities for Children in Therapy Storytelling and Other Activities for Children in Therapy Storytelling and Other Activities for Children in Therapy

Good for Inpatient
This book is FULL of activities for children who are having to be hospitalized for an extended period of time. I work in a pediatrician's office and was hoping to use it for children who have chronic medical problems. It isn't much help for me in an outpatient setting, but it would definitely be worthwhile for a therapist working in a children's hospital.

Helpful
I bought this book after being referred to it by several colleagues that worked in hospital settings with children with health issues. I found it very helpful in my field in working with children, however, I would mostly recommend this book to clinicians or those working closely with children in hospital settings.
