After getting the second, final and fatal, "an ink pad needs replacing" message on my Epson ET-2550 I decided to research on replacing the pads rather than condemning the printer to the skip and buying a new one. Google + youtube did the trick and there were options to clean the pads, replace the pads or replace the complete unit. I opted to replace the complete unit as I've had the printer 4 years plus so it's not like the added expense will make a lot of difference over the same time period. Product arrived the next day and to fit it all you have to do is undo two screws, remove a plastic holding plate, pop a catch to release the unit, slide the new one in, replace the holding plate and screw it back up. Job done, 2 minutes. They even provide a pair of gloves and a ziplock bag for disposal of the old unit which is nice touch.Resetting the page counter for the ink pad is another necessity. Luckily there is a very easy option for that as well. There are numerous videos on youtube that show how to do this. I opted for software that had a trial option to reset the counter to 80% so it cost me nothing. Again, as it is something that probably only needs doing every 3-4 years paying for a key to reset it to 0% when you replace the pad isn't particularly expensive.

Great product does what it needs to, however, you also need an app on your PC and a code for the app to get the printer working again.

For printer Epson XP 455, Just one screw to take off, wash and dry the container, and insert the pads.You need to go to u tube, download the file to reset the waste ink pad counter. Just add "trial" to get free 80% of waste ink. So easy and the printer works .

I didn't realise that when purchasing my printer over 5 years ago, that it had an expiry date. This was very disappointing to learn. However, thanks to research I was able to purchase replacement pads, which fit very well. I highly recommend purchasing these products rather than putting a perfectly good printer into landfill. It was also to re-set the counter too.

Pack of 2 . The life of these is quite long so I don't think anyone would need 2 so more landfill. Plus the upgrade for the machine is half the price of a new unit. So for general domestic use not brilliant.

Der Einbau war nicht schwer. Allerdings empfehlen wir eine 2. Person. Die Auffangeinheit passt sehr gut. Eine Bildbeschreibung liegt mit bei. Mit einem QR-Code wird auf eine Videobeschreibung gezeigt.

Commande mais surtout livraison super extra rapide à croire que le livreur est passé juste après avoir cliqué. Surtout que j'ai reçu le colis le dimanche matin.Super et ça marche.
