Big fan, much darker than my previous experience
Always been a reliable product for me.Like all iron gall ink will gum up if you don't use regularly and you might need to clean the nib. This is just a fact of life with this type of ink.Good colour, rapid darkening.

It is what it says

Great blue-black ink
Very good if you want permanent ink. However I preferred the older formula which didn't sink through the paper anything like as much

This is specialist ink suitable for use for church documents.
This special Registrars Ink is for the Marriage Documents and Register at the village church not far from my home. It is very necessary still and especially this year when we have extra weddings following cancellations last year due to Covid 19.

It doesn't write good on fine paper (as Clairefontaine) but work a little ...
I needed a dry waterproof ink for writing on cheap paper, as standard copy paper or Moleskine. It doesn't write good on fine paper (as Clairefontaine) but work a little bit better on Tomoe River using Pilot 912, but fine with Lamy Safary and Pilot Parallel. Waterproof immediately after written and put under shower for 90 seconds. Turns to black very fast (in several of hours , or immediately under water). Smells terrible.

Product as described
Ink flows well and does as it says on the ‘tin’

Improved formula
I believe Diamine have tweaked the formula as it is darker than before which is a good thing. I have had occasion to use iron gall ink for years and up to now never rated Diamine brand. I found it too weak; too light blue when wet and new whilst grey when dry. This bottle however is mid-blue when wet and a decent dark blue-black when dry. I suspect they have improved the formula but can only go so far with altering the recipe as the ink says it’s safe for use in a fountain pen, thus necessitating the need to reduce acid levels and keep iron salts to a minimum to avoid pen damage.
