I purchased a second Aero Press because my first purchase would leak. The plunger would no longer seal rendering my beloved Aero Press useless. Looking for more information about this product I found this replacement plunger for less than 1/3 of a new unit. I ordered it just in case my new unit started leaking. The old plunger was easy to remove with a flat blade screw driver and after scrubbing the old plunger base I put this new plunger gasket on easily. It works better than new. Super tight seal without any leaking. Thanks for this being available.

It seemed like my Aero-press was a bit wonky, so I finally broke down and ordered this. I saw that there were places to order this part without paying a crazy price - I could almost buy a new one. This one works great - but my biggest "surprise" was when I took the old one off - I will now remove my plunger weekly to clean it. It was pretty ugly. I don't think it would impact my coffee flavor or health in any way, but it was disgusting.

After 2+ years and making hundreds of cups of coffee, my original press plunger cap had met its demise. It fit loose in the press, was leaking, and barely held the press together.Frankly, I was loosing love for the aeropress all together. This very, appropriately, affordable replacement part brought my press back to life, and reinvigorated my love for this coffee press.So easy to replace, simply pull the old one off and gently stretch the new on into place. Then brew coffee!

I've been using this product for not even two months and it has become unusable with the aeropress. It's poor design has started to let air in and makes it very difficult for the brewing coffee to not start pouring over the top since it the plunger piece falls/tilts down, tilting the entire top of the aeropress. I still have the original aeropress plunger and compared the designs. This models plunger is much more slanted while the original is flattened towards the bottom to prevent stuff like this from happening. I will have to replace the gasket that I've used for less than two months with the old original one that I've had for over two years because even after two years, it works better than this one.

I was disappointed that the original did not last as long as it should have in my opinion. I only use my Aeropress when traveling or camping and was surprised that the plunger would no longer seal after 2 years. This product was significantly less expensive than the replacement from the manufacturer, so I purchased this product and have not been disappointed. Seems to work better than the original and would purchase this again.

I bought one of these nearly two years ago when my third AeroPress began to “fail”. I wish I’d known to do it earlier; it would’ve saved me money…and from creating so much excessive waste.This is easy to install and forms an exceptional seal and lasts longer than the original. That extra pressure makes an exceptional cup of Java.After thousands of cups of coffee, I’m just now noticing that the seal is a bit lose. And that’s the time to replace it. If you wait too long, it’s easy to damage the press itself trying to make it work, which requires a lot of force and jiggling. I tanked my previous two presses that way. And I wasted a lot of coffee (a cardinal sin) in the process.This is also a great value. The price is at least 50% less than the official replacement part. And it has not increased since last I ordered.

Didn't form a tight seal and leaked. Brand new, out of the packaging, it was a worse fit than the existing plunger I've used multiple times a day for 2+ years. I returned it and will probably spring the extra few $ for the AeroPress-branded version.Updated: I heard from the seller, unsolicited, who after seeing my review offered to refund me my costs. I appreciate the responsiveness and their desire to do right by their customers. Nonetheless, the product didn’t work and I returned it.

Our Aeropress was getting old and has been used at least once per day for over three years. It was time for a new gasket! The old one would allow some coffee to seep through or squirt through sometimes. That was dicey. With this installed, we have had no issues and are back to high quality coffee again!
