I like the 4mm thickness. It does an excellent job at dampening. I have several cork platter mats and this one is my new favorite.

I like the designs on the Taz turntable mats and would get a couple more if they weren't so expensive... Mine arrived flat and not warpped as some have reported here. I am using it on an acrylic platter and it doesn't seem to slip but stays in place just fine. The mat seems a little thick but the angle of the stylus on the record hasn't seemed to affect the sound...

My son now owns a turntable (record player in my day). He was happy with this slipmat. The design is fun and he says the slipmat really works to make the records play better. It's not cheap, but he thinks it's great!

Such an excellent product. Not only does it look great still, and it looks memorizing while spinning, but it changes the SOUND of your records because it's made of cork. I can tell a difference in bass, it's a bit more punchy, I didn't notice much else in sound change but definitely bass. My favorite is putting down a clear colored vinyl so that i can still see the design of the slip mat through the vinyl. I love it

At 4mm this product is thick. It works well. A little pricey but very good. I imagine it will last a long time.
