Buy Death of a Revolutionary: Che Guevara's Last Mission Updated ed. by Harris, Richard L. (ISBN: 9780393330946) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: A good read. - Well written but I would have liked more depth on the CIA involvement. David Morales for example was an out and out killer, THE hitman for the CIA through three decades. We know he was there but where is he here in these pages Guevara was murdered not executed. The Bolivian government was under intense pressure from the CIA to “eliminate” their prisoner. Sadly they bowed to American demands. The final indignity of course was the removal of Guevara’s hands for “identification” and a hurried burial in an unmarked grave. Of course he had the final word when his remains were exhumed and flown back to Cuba. Regarded as a national and worldwide hero Guevara is buried in a tomb that matches his reputation. For the record David Morales died frightened of the people who he had killed for for so for long. He knew too much.....and they made sure he never got a chance too. Karma. Review: loved - It is so very sad and he was betrayed but well worth reading

Much has been written about Che, and rightfully so. He was a major figure of his time and his impact is still felt today. This is an updated bio of this controversial figure and the author tries to steer a balanced course. In the main it holds up well, but the author's unabashed admiration bleeds through the text enough for many to be able to dismiss it as just another propaganda piece. More's the pity. Still, if you're an ardent admirer who hasn't gotten around to reading this one, you'll find little to object to. If you consider the man just a vile terrorist, I guarantee you won't approve of the author's work, but you might try reading it anyhow with as open a mind as you can manage. Human beings who live their convictions to the fullest, no matter what we may think of them, should be of interest if for no other reason than for their rarity.
