Fades out
When I dyed with hair with this dye, the color was vibrant and gorgeous, I even had people complimenting my hair which was lovely, however, a few weeks later it had washed out a bit and faded to like a reddy color, to maintain this color would probably mean using more frequently to maintain current color.Also be aware that you will need to mix it yourself in a bowl as it doesn't come in a bottle so make sure you have an application brush handy, although I didn't mind doing this.

Great product.
These VARIÉTÉ dyes are a bit of a fiddle as you need a bowl to mix them in, and a brush to apply (or you can scoop up in your hands and apply if you feel confident. However, The colours depicted on the box are quite accurate. They don't have an overpowering smell, and leave your hair in excellent condition with a nice multi tonal sheen that doesnt easily fade - even the red tones! The only down points are; there doesnt seem to be a lot of the mix, or it might just be me! I have quite thick hair, just past my shoulders and need three boxes (thankfully they aren't expensive) - also the developing time is quite long (40 mins)- and if you're covering darker roots you need to develop them for 40 mins first then do the rest of your hair. So it's quite a time consuming product - but the quality and result outweigh any inconveniences.

PURPLE!
My hair was quite dark brow, it's now PURPLE!Easy to use, although I used an applicator bottle from a previous hair dye kit.
