noy sure this review will have value for many who purchase these. I bought them as ballast to offset the spring- back of two gas strut hinges that I used on a child's toy box I re- designed. The struts worked great at preventing the heavy lid from falling on tiny fingers, in fact they worked too good....not allowing the lid to fully close. I calculated what amount of additional weight was needed to get the lid to close while still ensuring that it would only do so by manual effort and not on its own. These 4 steel plates totaled the exact amount of weight I needed so I cleaned them, painted them, installed them on the inside of the lid and then added my granddaughters names to them so they looked like they were decorative and served a higher purpose than just ballast. I can say the quality is good, they are shipped covered in machine oil so they don't rust and the weight is quite exact to the stated amount.

These steel plates are heavy-duty and durable. I used them to reinforce a wooden structure in my basement, and they provided excellent support. The pre-drilled holes made installation easy, and the steel is thick enough to handle heavy loads. Great value for the price!

Good clean cut metal to weld with

Be sure to paint with a rust protector if this is mounted in the weather. I got these to mount on my aluminum trailer so I could mount magnetic lights. It works well with the rust but coated with a rust inhabitant would keep it looking nice.

Solid. No sharp edges, and uniformly made. I needed some inexpensive steel plates to use with my one ton press. These will work for many different applications.

i used these plates to make a mini hydraulic press. they don’t warp or bend and even when being pushed against by a 2 ton jack. holes are drilled just as labeled, no complaints.

I'm using the 5" plates as metallic backing for the magnets on my Starlink mount. The roof of my RV is not metal. So I am fastening these to the roof with VHB 3M tape and self-leveling lap sealant. I did put a couple coats of paint on them to prevent rust.
