Well designed and built, great value for money
The system arrived promptly and was neatly packaged into two boxes, one with the PVR, one with the cameras and cables. The way it all connects together is logical and nicely colour coded. The instructions are simple and straightforward. There are just two sheets - one for installing the cameras and one for the PVR.If you want a system that needs a lot of set up, where you can tune every aspect to the last detail, this probably isn't for you. For example, the cameras automatically switch from day mode (colour) to night mode (infrared black and white). There is no way to change this or tune how soon they switch from day to night - it just works out of the box.I like the way it only needs two power points, one for the PVR and another for the cameras (single power supply powers all 4). The system draws very little power - the maximum rating of the power supplies is 12V 2A, which is to say, you could run this system off a12V leisure battery for a while if you needed to. The entire thing uses less power than a light bulb! One thing I haven't tried is the networking - in fact most of the instructions are about connecting to your router and viewing it on your phone. If you don't want to connect to the internet, the main system is very simple to set up.The final thing to note: I hadn't appreciated the amount of cable routing I'd need to get this set up how I want it, so I am probably going to return it and get a wireless system where the only cabling needed is between each camera and a power supply, although of course it will use up more plug sockets than this system, which really is brilliantly designed.

Good quality at a good price
I got these cameras as a surveillance for my house, they were very easy to install and the picture quality is excellent with a HD & SD option,I would recommend these to someone who is looking for a simple and good quality system, I had a slight issue with a camera but the customer care was brilliant and prompt with a solution and it was solved very quickly,

Value for money
My original review of this product wasn’t very complimentary, but having seen the system working over time, I’m quite impressed. I already own a Swann CCTV system, have used it for 4 years at the rear of my house, am very satisfied with it, so I can compare the Zosi system fairly. This system cost me 167 euros, so for 4 cameras, and the box, it’s good value for money. Upon measuring up to affix 3 cameras to the front of my house I discovered I was going to need longer cables, (or extension cables, which I ended up going with), the 20 meters supplied wouldn’t have been long enough. I bought an additional 3, 20-metre extension coaxial cables and the required nickel-plated connectors. My concern then was: will the cables transmit the signal over that distance flawlessly ? Also, will I need signal boosters ? Another question was will there by interference to the signal by other devices, such as Wi-Fi ? I connected up the extension cables I needed and the input was absolutely fine. Setting up the system requires you to get to grips with the software. It isn’t perfect, (I’ve built gaming PCs from scratch, so I’m technically proficient), but creating a password and changing the hi- definition picture to suit your monitor/HD TV is straightforward. The box containing the 1-Terabyte mechanical hard disk drive is silent. For obvious reasons you can’t move the box at all while it’s running, (or in fact for a minute or two after you’ve turned off the box), so you’ll need to be careful to avoid this. So, the cameras provide a crisp, clear picture on the correct setting. I like the design of the cameras. My Swann system are bullet cameras. These dome cameras protrude less and will be harder to destroy if criminals come calling. Logically, they should resist rain more easily, due to their shape. A tip I read in a review of this system is to wrap good-quality electrical tape around the connectors, to aid protection against the effects of moisture outside. The software allows for altering various settings, fairly easily. It helps to study the settings, and get to grips with the system. But, really it’s quite plug-and-play. For the cost, (again, I paid 167 euros), it’s great value for money. The signal is clear and has virtually no latency. As a deterrent, cameras - in my opinion - help. Just as a side-note: I have a large, colourful sign at my gates that make clear, there’s a CCTV system on my property. I feel this is only fair. But, you might want to check the laws on your country, as there might be a legal requirement to display such a sign. I’m happy with the Zosi system. I’ll observe the system over time, and I’m sure I’ll discover plenty of settings to tweak. My Swann system is 4 years old and still works properly. They won’t last forever. I’m wondering if I might clone and install 1-Terabyte solid state drives, (which should improve longevity). Overall I think the Zosi system is well worth the money. The Zosi Smart app, available in the Apple App Store is simple to download and set up. Simply put in the password you’ve chosen for your Zosi box when asked and you can view, in real time, the cameras you’ve set up. This will provide a little comfort when you’re away from your home, as you can periodically check your cameras. I chose to connect to my router via Ethernet cable. If you connect via a wireless dongle, you first need a RT3070 compatible one, and when it’s inserted into the network USB port, the front USB port, (where I’m assuming you’ll have your mouse), is inactive. You can only use one USB port at time. Basically it’s a good CCTV system. I’m giving it 4 stars.

x1 PSU lasted about 3 days.
x1 PSU lasted about 3 days, Zosi refunded the cost of a replacement, fair enough, replacement PSU arrives, that is also faulty and does not work. Just had to return the faulty one (had to go to the post office after work before it closed) and I am hoping that the 3rd one works OK.The hardware of this system appears OK but the software is terrible to say the least, and not easy to use at all. I thought I would be able to set this system up so I could access it via a web browser over http but that is not possible apparently (I thought all CCTV systems had this ability?). The mobile phone app does not playback correctly most of the time and the PC software (AVSS) is useless (you can’t even rescale the size of the app window, so you are stuck with its default size or full screen). The software is pretty much useless, so I would not purchase another Zosi product in the future. Decent enough camera and DVR hardware (for the price) but in my case, rendered pretty much useless because I need to be able to connect via http.
