Excellent value for the money, spin true, well made
After reading a lot of positive reviews of Elite's wheels I decided to invest in a pair before a long-distance cycling event, LoToJa (207 miles between Logan, Utah, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming). I'd wanted a set of more aero wheels than I'd been running, saving weight would be nice as well. The wheels arrived quickly, packaged well from Elite's factory in China. I inspected the hubs (nice bearings, well greased), the freehub (includes a steel spline to prevent cassette cogs from causing premature wear), the spokes (all tensioned within 3% of each other - very good), and the trueness of the build (spun almost 100% true out of the box). The star ratchet freehub system is also a nice detail, with spare parts easily sourced if needed (not likely given the proper lubrication these have from the factory).Installing the tubeless tape was a slight annoyance (it's included in the box, at least), but everything else installed with ease. I mounted a set of Continental GP5000s TR tires in a 30mm width, using Cyclami TPU tubes for a nice balance of lightness and easy service (not a fan of tubeless for road cycling). The tires mounted without a lot of effort - excellent! Installed a Shimano Ultegra 11-speed cassette which was hassle-free, and Shimano Ultegra disc rotors.Swapping the wheels onto my bike was also hassle-free, as the cassette and rotors didn't require any fine-tuning of my shifting or brakes and everything was ready-to-go from the start. The first ride on these wheels was on a known commodity training route. They are not the stiffest carbon wheels I've ever tried, but they're plenty stiff without being punishing. They ride predictably and (mostly) quietly - it's a good idea to use little bits of electrical or helicopter tape to quiet Presta valve stems from rattling in the valve holes (more of an issue with metal stems than plastic ones). But they were most lovely.Over the course of the long LoToJa day the wheels were perfect. Crosswinds were a slight nuisance, given the 50mm rim depth, but not anything that was difficult to manage. I've now put in over 1,000 miles on the wheels, over all kinds of road surfaces and without treating them with kid gloves and they still run true. Kudos to Elite for producing excellent wheels - highly recommended.

Looks Like Quality-Understated
I refuse to pay more than a $1,000 for wheels after my $300 wheels continue to perform for close to 6 years and thousands of miles with no issues. I bought this set after buying two other Elite wheels for my gravel bike and a set for my wife's Liv road bike. These wheels will be mounted on my 2022 Ventum NS1 frame scheduled for December 2023.The Asian wheels have come a very long way to be better overall value buys than the big names that provide marginal-at-best advantages. The Elite wheels look aesthetically pleasing, sound great, and ride incredibly. The hub sound turns heads. It took a while for me to appreciate how distinctly different the hub sounds vs all other brands. The Elite Edge wheels seem to feature a fairly quiet hub. As I typically do, I took apart the hubs and added my favorite lubricant. I have not liked the lube minimalist approach of the sellers. My only complaint is a minor one; they should add tape to the wheels. Not everyone, at least not me yet, wants tubeless wheels.1. Very light and nice understated color2. Protective foam-like wheel bag3. Separate tubeless rim tape for each wheel4. Provided/included tubeless valvesUpdate: As of today, November 18, 2024, the wheels and my Ventum NS1 seem to be a great pairing. I can feel the difference in responsiveness. They arrived true and are still true to date. During the first set of rides this Summer and since, I have deliberately taken the bike on some rough roads, steep hills, and leaned my full 214 lb weight on turns test for flex and durability. I have not been disappointed. If there are better wheels, I don't need them for the added cost. I am considering a pair for my wife's Liv bike, that's how much I like the wheels!

Pleasantly surprised!
This wheelset is awesome! I had an aluminum wheelset and purchased these Elite wheels and my time for my 50 mile route took a nice jump. They are true, strong, and very light. I will be purchase more wheelsets down the road. I need an xc set now so I will be ordering more!

Awesome upgrade at an affordable price
These carbon fiber wheels have been a game-changer. They're incredibly lightweight at just 1367 grams for the 50mm set, making climbs and flats feel effortless. The smooth-rolling bearings and ratchet-style freehub offer solid engagement with an acceptable noise level. Plus, they look fantastic – sleek and modern on any bike. And here’s the best part: they’re a smoking value on Prime Days or Black Friday! Overall, these wheels bring serious performance and style at a price that’s tough to beat.

Rides fine but annoying hub noise
Rides as well as other wheels. 50mm depth is noticeable at 20mph as it feels more “aero” meaning it feels like it takes less effort to maintain higher speeds but gotta be careful in heavy crosswinds at speeds. What’s really disappointing is the hub noise which is not a constant pitch. It keeps oscillating as if the wheel is out of balance. It’s an incessant whirring sound that changes with speed. It’s because of this that I would not recommend. If you can zone it out while you’re riding then good for you.

No spare spokes from Amazon
These wheels are not shipped with spare spokes. Elite confirmed with me that you only receive spare spokes when you order direct from them. Amazon orders do not come with spares. The wheels themselves are nice. But order from Elite.

Fast, smooth, attractive
First 30-mile test ride in the flats and hills: fast, smooth and quiet (except for the great ceramic free wheel hub announcing itself). Good stiffness on a hard hammer up the steeps. Great value. Seller was very response and attentive. No-brainer upgrade.
