The Most Helpful and Insightful Book
This is the most in depth and insightful book I have read on narcissism. Not leaving you alone to figure some of this out yourself and practical help and advise on how to change your behaviour. I read with highlighters in hand and put to use with a clear plan made and I know I will reread over and over for continued improvement

List of facts more than story
Good book. Very helpful for triggering off thoughts. There isn't much if any 'story' in the book. For example, there could be a set of story's on a bad conversation and then a good conversation version. Stories of real people who have turned their life around and the patterns they took to achieve that. More details on the narcissistic matrix of fantastical belief. Cults. It comes across as someone who knows what to do in theory but not what to do in practice. Which leaves this slight doubt in the readers mind and narcs are not going to listen to that. The book doesn't seem to be written for narcissists. Would a narcissist read this and feel desire to move on? A part of me is a narcissist not all of me. So I could continue to read it. Reframing the book to resonate more with what a narcissist would like to hear could lead to the book being more helpful. As Erik knows they have very fragile egos. So to patch that ego. To talk to how they feel. To say that it is ok for them to feel that way because really bad stuff did happen to them when they were very young. And then say, and your behaviour doesn't help you heal. Could be more impactful for more readers.More references and citations of studies would also be helpful.Thank you Erik for creating this great intropection trigger.

A helpful book
Narcissism is a bit like depression was 10 years ago; it’s a real taboo and having it is seen as basically evil.Look at how many books on how to spot/avoid/divorce/survive a narcissist compared to the number on how to try and admit you have damaging narcissistic traits; hardly any on the latter. This book looks at the reasons behind narcissistic traits, different types and levels of narcissism and explains why it can be so damaging. No punches are pulled at all but if you have the awareness that narcissism is ruining yours and other’s lives, I recommend this book.My only criticism is the way lists are repeated and described; it’s a bit GCSE English in that way.
