Item is of good overall quality, however as stated by some other users the spring tension is far too strong for a light person, I’m about 10.5 stone wet though, i should be able to source a spring with a lower payload and make this work properly for me as I’m quite handy with that sort of thing, better not go to low though as with the state of the potholes round here, when i go down the street people will think it’s the national pogo stick competition coming through town 😊

It clearly states that one of the shims will fit a 30.4 it even shows what shim to use, it just about slotted in but absolutely no chance of the suspension post fitting as it should, I know it's meant to be snug, but this is probably around 2mm too big. Can't recommend this product, and NO ALLEN KEY IN PACK Review by a retired Rolls Royce and Bentley technician.....

It’s not the lightest at 463 grams but then if you’re buying a suspension seat post you’re not a weight weenie, if you are comparing this to others though that’s how much it weighs. It takes quite a lot to depress this so probably not for light people, if you’re under 10 stone it’s probably not going to other much benefit. It’s easy to install although I would prefer the clamp to be tightened with one hex not two as this makes getting the seat level more fiddly. Once on the bike it looks good and it’s build quality feels quite durable. It’s operation wasn’t very smooth so I dismantled it, the grease used on the spring and plastic collar was a red sticky grease. After cleaning all the grease off with IPA I applied some smooth all purpose grease and resembled. Now the operation is much smoother, the grease used during manufacturing is obviously cheap grease and not the best quality. The performance is pretty good once you’ve dialled in your preferred amount of tension, this is done with a hex key by adjusting the tension screw at the base of the post. Overall it’s a pretty good suspension post, does it’s job in taking the sting out of pot holes although the grease was decreasing it’s smooth operation. Could be a bit cheaper but it is what it is.

There is some spring to the suspension seatpost, but not very much. Was expecting more…..

1.3.2024 Greasing the spring didn't really help. Oiled around the shock, and loosened the tube bolt a bit. The clamp on my bike created pressure on the down tube, making the seat post stick. Loosened the bolt a tad, moved the seat a bit higher, works like a charm. Worth every penny.

Für das neue E-Bike meiner Frau, das leider nicht über jedes von uns gewünschte Ausstattungsdetail verfügt, habe ich diese gefederte Sattelstütze bestellt. Dazu auch noch einen Komfort-Sattel (ebenfalls rezensiert), welcher den Komfort nun vollständig perfekt macht. Diese Sattelstütze hier kommt im Gegensatz zu den Produkten bekannter Marken mit allerlei Zubehör. So liegt nicht nur Werkzeug bei, sondern sogar eine ganze Auswahl von Reduzierhülsen. Die Sattelstütze selbst hat den weitverbreiteten Durchmesser von 27,2 Millimetern, was für unsere E-Bikes direkt passt. Wirklich gut finde ich, dass auch der Kopf für den Sattel direkt mitgeliefert wird, was ebenfalls keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Man kann also mit einem beliebigen Sattel sofort zur Montage schreiten. Die meiner Meinung nach besseren Federsattelstützen erkennt man daran, dass kein Faltenbalg vorhanden ist. Zumindest haben einen solchen in der Regel nur die billigen Modelle. Diese hier hat keinen, sieht sehr edel und überhaupt nicht billig aus. Die Montage ging recht leicht von der Hand, der Sattel hält bomben- oder sollte ich sagen Popo-fest. Das Wichtigste ist natürlich der Fahrkomfort, oder? Wir haben hier in der Nähe eine ganz üble, sehr alte Kopfsteinpflasterstraße, über die man als Radfahrer eher ungern fährt. Bei der ersten Probefahrt mit Serienausrüstung war es extrem holprig und unkomfortabel, wirklich nicht schön. Nun, mit der Federsattelstütze und dem Komfortsattel, sieht die Welt gleich ganz anders aus: die schon sehr groben Unebenheiten werden weitgehend gefiltert und man mag nun sogar solche Straßen fahren. Unglaublich, dieser Unterschied! Wenn Sie auch ein Plus an Fahrkomfort erzielen möchten, aber weder Billigware noch überteuerte Markenprodukte kaufen wollen, probieren Sie diese Federsattelstütze doch selbst einmal aus - Sie werden sicher zufrieden sein.
