Terrific Fun
After having a great time playing Empires of The North, I wanted to play 51st State, but worried that it wouldn't be as fun with its post-apocalyptic theming. While Empires of The North is bright, colorful with cheery character art, 51st State portrays the wasteland as dark, cutthroat, and desperate. However, 51st State has a hilarious rulebook which keeps the mood light, hopeful, and FUN! It is easy to see why most people who enjoy Empires also enjoy 51st State.Empires of The North took me a long time to fully grasp (7 months), but once I understood how to play, I realized that turns are quick and simple. Well, 51st State was designed by the same artist, and is very similar to Empires of The North with a few differences: 1)51st State is a richer play due to its depth and layered actions on cards. 2)51st State requires Razing the locations belonging to opponents to get ahead, and has plenty of "take that." While I generally avoid bringing aggressive games to the table, I don't feel bothered by the take that energy of this game--there's plenty to go around for everyone to enjoy, and simultaneous turns mean this game moves too quickly to whine over losses.51st State is one of the best games I've ever played, and I highly recommend it! 51st State Ultimate has several expansions included, making this highly replayable!

Phenomenal!
This might be one of the best engine/tableau builders I have played. Definitely worth grabbing!

Ultimate experience
My copy arrived sooner than expected. It's a great deck building game that's good multiplayer and solo. And this edition includes so many expansions that replayability is not an issue.

Big Dissapointment
If I knew this didn't come with the 9 faction boards and deluxe components, I wouldn't have purchased it.Good game, but not the "Ultimate" Edition I was expecting.

one of my wish list
The packaging scared me a lot because the outside box was crushed in every corners and even has one hole on one side. Luckily and quite amazingly, the game box is completely safe....

Great game - not the gamefound version
51st state is a fantastic engine/tableau building game. This is the retail release version and not the Gamefound edition, which was only available via backing (just like kickstarter). That version was much more expensive and contained exclusive content. You can find it used, and at least twice the price. This, however, is more than enough game for all but the most die hard of fans.

Not everything for the game
This is not the ultimate edition. False advertisement. Will be contacting company.
