Had to replace the old, unsafe attic ladder so I went with this one. The measurements are exact and it’s good construction. The instructions were well laid out and the whole thing was installed in about 45 minutes. I suggest using two people, it just goes faster and is safer. Says it can hold 350 pounds and I believe it. Ladder itself is good aluminum and unfolds neatly and easily. I have a 9 foot ceiling and it was perfect size.

Follow the instructions to the letter. Outstanding product. Much better than my old wooden ladder.

What a great product! I go into Attica for a living and I can tell you this is one of the nicest attic space ladders I have ever used. The shocks for an easy close are so nice! Install was way easier than I expected also. Highly recommend this ladder!

It was not that hard to remove the old attic ladder. Go online and find a video that shows how to do it. I'm 68 and the only time I needed a second person was in lowering the old ladder. It is located inside in a hallway with oak floors below and I didn't want to chance damaging my floors. Installation was easy -- except it ended up with a gap in one corner. I worked and worked trying to adjust it. Everything was square and plumb. I got the measurements between corners exactly the same. No joy no matter what I did. Finally I purchased door magnets with 90 pound pull. It took 3 in the corner positioned just right for it to fully close. I still have to give the rope a quick pull when the door gets close to get the magnets to catch. Maybe something got slightly bent in transit or maybe it is just "Made in China." The stairs are great though. So much nicer than our old wooden ones. My wife feels more safe and that was the whole reason for the purchase. It would get 5 stars if not for that gap when closed!

Easy to operate and feels solid when climbing. Time will tell if it is built to last, but very pleased with this purchase after the initial installation. We hired a handyman to install, add wood trim and paint the exposed panel, all within one day. The cost of installation was higher than the price of the item, but well worth it. It is a two-person job. Installation requires hack sawing the base of the aluminum ladder to properly adjust the height. Instructions include a table and illustrations showing exactly how much to cut depending upon the ceiling height. Note that there are exposed bolt heads on the underside of the cieling panel which are visible even when painted.

Easy to install. Works great. Eliminates the need to climb a shakey stepladder.
