For me, this makes Scalextric fun for hours. There is plenty to do in the app and settings to play around with. The magic arc app has more features and having a ‘hall of fame’ makes getting a fastest lap very fun.No wires to get tangled, so all racers can position themselves around the track and it’s easier to collect crashed cars.Having the digital or analogue ability is also amazing, though I do find the analogue cars run uncontrollably fast.This also opens the door to having pit lanes within the track and being able to use them with the tire wear within the app.Highly recommend, but additional purchases makes it better; including pit lane, additional controllers, a tablet, digital cars and lane change track.

I already had the previous digital power base the new arc proJust cited perfectly in place of the old one so I didn't have to change the track layoutThe big difference is you have a lot more control and it looks better as wellNo complaints

A rather crude design and feel from such reputable company. Not intuitive setup and app.The ONLY good thing is absence of wires connecting controllers.The instruction booklet fell apart, about 10 pages fell out. had to glue it back together. Instructions are in random order, not clear.And most annoying it does not connect to new Samsung Bluetooth! Have to use an ancient iPad - and I'm not fun of Apple! Just happen to have this old iPad, otherwise would send this awkward item back.The reason I opted to this is I have a lot of scalextric cars and tracks, otherwise would most likely go for German version.

Works really well loads of features

I deliberated for months about buying this ARC PRO upgrade to my Scalextric collection. Now I don't know why I waited because this item is fantastic! Even without connecting the unit via Bluetooth to your phone or tablet, racing is already more fun just because there are no wires to get tangled up. Setting up the unit with some of my track was a doddle and only takes a couple of minutes to familiarise yourself with the user guide and a few seconds to link up your cars with the controllers and then you can play.Once you hook up a supported phone or tablet though, then the fun really begins! Calibrating cars (the only part that is a bit of a pain and knocks off a star) and specifying settings for more realistic racing adds to the excitement and the challenge. And even if you have nobody to race against you can get it to run a pace car. The cherry on top is the ability to enter all your cars in the database on your smart device and actually specify which car each racer is running.

I had to rate this product without star as when this arrived it wasn't packed in anything and the box was damaged and some of the parts were missed so returned for a full refund

Really does make for next level racing. Especially when coupled with the unofficial magic arc app. So much flexibility. If you take your time, you can even reign in your fastest cars to make incredibly fair racing when pitching them against your slower models. Also allows individual driver power limits and throttle responsiveness, so my 7 year old can enjoy racing without flying off the track at every turn.If they could just get the official app to replicate the features of the unofficial one, but with the colourful interface it would be a 5 star product
