It is a little challenging but two people can assemble in about 15 minutes. Just make sure all the nuts and bolts are present and that you separate out the 4 bolts that are a little longer since you will need them for the top of the trellis. Hope this helps. It really does look nice when it is assembled.

Q: Says it's 4'7" wide. My walkway is 5 feet wide that I want this to go over the top of. Will the bottom stretch out a few inches to fit?

I recently put mine together, and had to add a brace at the bottom so it WOULDN'T separate, so yes it will stretch a bit ;)
