We needed a replacement purse hook for the glovebox in our SUV. The clip worked very well as an anchor inside the glovebox, and the strap is thin enough that it doesn't prevent the glovebox from shutting completely. We are very pleased with it's sturdiness.

I purchased the version with the solid ring where you have to remove the headrest to install it. Removing the headrest is pretty easy, and I didn't want to run the risk of the carabiner version not fitting around the headrest posts.Don't know why I never thought of a solution like this. I have leather seats in my car and every time I barely even touch my breaks, my purse goes flying on the passenger seat. These hooks are great, keeps my purse in place, and I love that I can simply flip them to the back side of the seat if I have a guest riding in my car and I can hang my purse there. I'm sure they're great for items other than purses that can be hooked to them, too.

You can hang this on the passenger seat, and when no one is riding up front, swing it around and have your purse there instead of behind the seat. You can do that with the rigid plastic ones, so you need the ones with the strap.

I bought these to help keep my purse from falling over in the car. It is great for that, but was a bit tight on my Volvo XC90 headrests.

These hooks are great in the car. You can hang a bag from the back of the front seat, and everything stays upright! No leaky liquids - yay!

These hooks are great. My purse tends to fall over and spill the contents. I put one of these hooks on the front of the seat and now my purse stays upright and safe from emptying all over the floor.

Their long even at the shortest length the hook is pretty low also the clip doesn't lock when attached to the headrest, so it could come undone
