Perfect !! Easy to install. Didn’t even bother with directions. Grabbed some 1 1/2 wood screws and drilled it directly in the stud of the opening. Tested the bracket on how unit fits in it & how unit operated first. Wouldn’t be the first time for me installing a bracket upside down if not trying it out first. Extremely easy. Quality unit too. Mesh material is not flimsy at all. Very pleased . Thank you.

I got this for my animals and grand daughter. All the gates in this house makes me nuts. So this was the best option. But when retracting the screen. Do not and I repeat do not let it go. Walk it back to the holster. It will scare the crap out of you. I love how it locks so say the baby pushes on the netting it doesn’t fall for her safety

I just unboxed and installed this gate and am giving it 4 stars.TL;DR if you have a specific use case like we do and this product meets your minimum requirements, it seems safe and sturdy enough to keep your kid from falling down the stairs or moving out of bounds if used correctly.Who Is this Product Good For?:We have a very awkward space at the top of our stairs. Pre-kids, we didn't really care that the railing was too low and that the bannisters couldn't accommodate a baby gate. For my toddler's safety, I have tried to work out every possible adapter etc. to make something work at just the opening of our stairs, and there seemed to be no product that was just right for us. The only solution for us was to find something that could go ALL THE WAY across the pictured large opening from wall to wall. It's about 90 inches and extremely difficult to find a gate that is both wide enough to safely gate off the opening AND can be concealed/retracted when not in use. Most of the extra long gates have a fixed opening right in the middle, and this simply wasn't going to work for us. This product fits our extremely specific use case very well - I literally could not find anything else that was as theoretically suitable as this.Installation:Overall, ease of installation and use is the best feature of this product. If you want something that you don't need anything beyond a drill, screwdriver, and a pen to install, this is a good gate for you. I also used a level on the wall brackets to ensure everything was going to work out, but you could absolutely get by without doing that if super precision isn't important to you.Functionality:From a safety perspective, this gate is going to keep my toddler from falling down the stairs. That's what I bought it for and so far it seems, as long as used correctly (i.e. make sure you actually use the lock), that will be accomplished with this product. I'm not 100% confident that the locking mechanism will stand the test of time, but I just took it out of the box today so time will tell as to how sturdy it is. If the locking mechanism fails, the safety of the gate would be at risk.My biggest rub/complaint on the item is the retracting mechanism that helps the gate roll. I plan to scour reviews/Q&A for this product for tips on this issue, but it just doesn't seem to roll itself back up very well - even immediately out of the box. Of course, you can go walk over there and shimmy the mesh gate and manually roll it up, but if you're using it with any regularity that gets annoying very fast. Especially since a major selling point is the retracting feature. It almost seems as if there is more slack in the gate at the top vs. the bottom. (The bottom rolls up quickly and very well, while the top seems to have extra volume that gets trapped and doesn't just "roll in" the way you'd expect it to if it were even.)

This product was described accurately and did what we expected. It is well constructed and easy to install. We would purchase again.

This gate worked great for the first year of having it. We used this almost daily for a year with very few complaints. The gate did seem to loosen a little over time but it is a very long gate. Unfortunately the last time I unlocked the locking mechanism one of the plastic tabs that makes up the lock snapped. The gate is now no longer usable unless you have an extra person to help hold the lock open whole it extends and retracts and it makes a terrible ratcheting noise.

Horrible hardware - the sticky part of the steps has 0 point and leads to paint ripping off the walls before it’s even installed. The dry wall anchors crumble before they get inserted into the wall. Put more damage to my house than a puppy would have been able to if we never got the gate. Do not buy

Used as a pet gate for a wide 74” opening. Easy to install. Looks good easy to operate. I like that there are locks on removing from the mounting brackets and the tensioner.

This is sp beyond perfect. We have a very large opening with two steps from the living room to the dining room and it stretches perfectly so it keeps our son out of the dining room!
