Absolutely brilliant
It takes you into a documentary like programme of sea monsters as well as prehistoric creatures that lived among the water. It starts from the time before there was even plants and any species lived below the water at those times. I am 26 and I am just starting to love the whole dinosaur thing. Imaginee David Attenborough documenting about animald well this is very similar. He swims and is around alot of living dinosaurs I absolutely love this!!

Arguably the most compelling and thrilling of the whole series
Arguably the most compelling and thrilling of the whole series. As the producers pointed out in an interview, putting a human into the frame gives a completely different sense of scale and thrill. Bought it for my teenage son, who even at that age thrills to the thought of interacting with the giants of the past.

Misleading Picture on Cover and Disc
We found the image used for this dvd misleading - looking at the image on the cover and even on the disc itself it clearly shows 3 other episodes which we thought were included on this disc. The main reason we bought it was for the Walking With Cavemen episode which is clearly shown on the bottom right of the cover and is unavailable elsewhere. My grandson doesn’t have the Sea Monsters episode so it wasn’t a total loss but I think clarification is needed as to what is actually on the disc as the cover is misleading. When you put the dvd in the player the other episodes are shown on screen, but you cannot play them.

engaging palaeontological odyssey
It is notoriously difficult to get an idea of the size of things on Natural History documentaries - so, although academically preposterous, it is still; a very informative exercise to watch a carefully-researched fantasy such as this.A great shame there is so little of it! Also i would have preferred it to be in chronological order, as my grandchildren could find it confusing...

An insight about how these creatures lived in our world was fascinating.
This item was bought for a friend. But other dvd's I have watched about dinosaurs was very fascinating to watch.

Sea monsters :)
Really good series and a credit to the walking with dinosaurs series. Although it is presented rather than narrated there is still plenty of dinosaur shots and it doesn't drag like some dinosaur presented documentaries are. It's a great watch for children or adults. A great edition to your walking with dinosaurs collection.

I Absolutely Despise The Fakery Here!
I really like the Walking with... series. In other one there was some minor pretence that they were filming real animals but it was relatively unimportant, but here they go completely over the top into complete delusional mode. The conceit is that they are actually travelling back in time and searching for the prehistoric sea reptile in the wild. It is not just like they are in the environment with them they shop pretend test of chemicals to repel liopleurodon, for example as if it was real. They pretend that they attach a camera to a liopleurodon to find out more about their habits and they have this fake jeopardy attaching it. It was more than embellishing reality it is just lies.Earlier they tell us how they were really luck to get shots of the creature. I found myself repeatedly saying “Of course you did, it’s a computer animation!”One of the great things about previous series is their educational value, but this is just messing with young people’s sense of reality. The geezer they have presenting keeps getting “surprises”, except that it is a storyboarded fiction.Avoid this dvd unless you want t mess with your or your children’s perception of reality. I really dislike this.
