I use to use the standard bic lighters, while they're reliable this blows it out of the water. Pro tip, I whittled down the plastic that acts as a safety for ease of use. But, do not do that if there are kids around, at best it will burn a hole in a camp chair and worst give someone a nasty burn.

This is a perfect EDC/Camping/Smokers lighter. The child safety is simple to use and perfect in preventing the lighter from igniting when it shouldn't. Anyone giving this lighter bad reviews usually amounts to operator error. Highly recommended

Easy to use . work like a champ

I've emptied the torch to make sure it's not too full and started over, adjusted the power, and I've held it up to another flame holding the trigger and it cannot stay lit. I love Soto products, but not this one. Maybe just a bad one, but it's not cheap.
