Ciarra cooker hood..
Quality cooker hood, really powerful but quiet. 2 brightness levels. Looks really sleek.. very easy to operate, the soft touch buttons are very responsive. Extraction quality is fantastic and compared to last one is much quieter but powerful. I got someone to fit it but if you’re diyer you could easily fit it. I didn’t use the recirculation filters… straight extraction.

Nice design
Fal looks very stylish. Easy to control with touch buttons. It was easy yo install as it comes with full size fan print, so just sticking to the wall and drilling holes. Very quite compare with other fans. Suction would give 4 out of 5, but I'm using filters, so without them it would be great. The only negative I can see is the stains forming from condensation next to the ventilation holes. Over all, for the price, it's a great product.

Slick, Powerful and Great Quality for the Price !
This is a slick looking extractor unit and as you can see from the picture it looks the part when it is fully built in as well as when it is fitted with the stainless steel exhaust hood on a flat wall. Our installation was not in an opened out chimney breast so our builder adapted the Ciarra unit so that it fitted this more complicated position better than it would otherwise have done. Funnily enough the Ciarra extractor was not our original first purchase - the builder had provided one for us with our Howdens Kitchen but when we saw it fitted we thought it looked terrible, so damn the expense, we searched the net and found this lovely looking Ciarra unit. The extractor was vented through the outside wall and not taken up through the chimney flue as that would have involved us in a lot more expense in the form of a metal chimney liner and all the fitting and messing about that would entail. The extractor fan is modern and has a very slick 21st century minimalist look. It appears well made and so we hope it will give us good service before we need to replace or repair it. The extractor function itself is powerful, so much so that the builder asked where we had purchased it from as he had never seen one with that much suction force on a low to mid setting before.Highly recommended

Nice product at good price
Fitted as part of new kitchen. Product well designed and fitted perfectly level onto wall. Fan power very good and quiet, as claimed by the quoted db levels. Touch controls good but require a firm touch rather than a gentle one.Had small problem on delivery in that the tabs on 2 of the grease filters were broken. Contacted Ciarra customer services who were excellent and immediately despatched a full set of replacements directly from the factory in China, which arrived within 48 hours.Overall cannot fault product at present, and excellent customer service received.

A nice looking piece of kit - not convinced with the high extraction claims
Installed to replace an earlier Ciarra model that failed, the motor seemed to warp and throw it out of balance (twice!), Ciarra originally exchanged and then refunded me and I was happy to try another model though cautious about quality after two failed installations. The service was at least very impressive.I like the look of the unit, the glass front gets marked very easily with finger marks and must be cleaned regularly. Buttons are a bit slow to respond, perhaps not very sensitive?Works ok, not brilliant though. The sound is quite good, the extraction is reasonable but I don't think the 650m3/h is right. Don't get me wrong, its ok but not amazing. I am using it with the external ducting and no charcoal filters. I am reducing the pipe from the larger 150mm to the smaller 120mm and to do that I also removed the two black flaps so there is minimal restriction on air flow, it may be that but I doubt it.To be fair though, none of these hoods are particularly good as far as I can see, from any manufacturer, so you can pay a lot more for roughly the same thing. On that basis it is good value for money.

Quiet and powerful
This is only my 3rd or 4th time leaving a review. I was so impressed with this fan I just had to leave a review. This hood was simple to fit about an hour in total. The main point I reckon to fitting the fan and to keep the fan quiet is to make sure that you don’t reduce 150mm diameter vent. I had to buy a 150mm vent cover through Amazon. This hood does come with a metre or so of 150mm expandable hose. I bought the fan during a sale and are as good if not better than Bosch or Neff. I cannot fault this fan. The light has 2 levels and on the top level it’s just bright enough. Also it looks modern. So if you are in 2 minds to buy one of these hoods, just go for it you won’t regret it.

Has the look but not the quality
I purchased this hood based on the reviews and was to replace an 10 year old cheap hood from a popular diy store. I have to say I am very disappointed. I hope my review will help others to make a balanced choice.1. First on arrival the staples holding the shipping box together were corroded and the box was filthy, so goodness knows were it had been stored or how long. On opening a screw on the back holding the fan was also corroded.2. The polythene protective cover over the stainless steel had many marks on it, and later found some of these had gone through and marked the stainless.3. The way the two chimneys are held in polystyrene in the shipping box is a poor design, in that, it’s not held at right angles to keep them square, but rather splayed out towards the opening sides. Owing to the thin gauge stainless steel it had set a bow in the front (canned), and the only way I could rectify this was to buy some aluminium angle and stick this inside the top with gorilla glue!4. The supports for the chimney are not robust enough. Again the gauge is to thin. I’ve had to use mending plates to make them more rigid, otherwise, the chimney pulls away from the wall.5. Centre grease mesh floppy.6. You will need to put packers between the wall and the bottom inside edge of the hood if you want to get it level from wall to the front of the hood.So to sum up: it has the look but not the quality- even compared to my old “cheap” hood from diy store.
