If you use Apple Products and want some seriously easy plug and play, this is the device for you. I am an IK Multimedia convert - well built products and considered software with actual usability... you can even plug it into your iPhone with the cable supplied.No lag, on a 2012 MacBook Pro 2.6ghz with 16GB RAM - integrates perfectly for my uses with Logic Pro X - with some further investigation I will figure out the midi mapping...In short, I love it - it was between this and the AKAI for me and in the end, value won as you also have inputs so it negates the need for an additional soundcard - and all for under £200

I Purchased this mini keyboard towards the end of last year just to take advantage of the amazing offer of Sampletank 4 Max sounds included free via download. My intention was to sell just the keyboard afterwards as I already have a midi keyboard. I did install the keyboard just to play around with it and was not really impressed with the installation. There was a lot of latency and various freezes when trying to select different drivers – I didn’t make much progress with the IK website forum or Google, I didn’t realise at the time there was an ASIO driver available via download from the IK website ( which gives basic in / out for the Neutrik combi jack microphone input and speaker out). I visit the IK site frequently and recently noticed a featured update for their custom Asio driver. Once installed things improved greatly. The audio quality is noticeably better than my new laptop and the keyboard was more responsive. Rather than splash out on a new USB audio/ midi interface I decided to keep it just for sound and use my bigger dumb keyboard for midi. The only hassle is having to switch audio drivers between my laptop and the I rig when I want to compose music and then back again. This keyboard is really for travel purposes.. it is ok for sequencing bass etc but is not big enough for some extended piano chords without transposing. It can be used to trigger loops via the velocity sensitive pads but I haven’t explored that yet. On reflection and with the benefit of hindsight may be I should have thought harder and bought the larger but more expensive I rig keyboard. Build quality seems good and the key action is ok.

On paper this is your dream come true. I wanted a compact travel friendly setup to pair with my iPad Pro for recording whilst travelling. This gives me an audio interface with phantom power and a midi keyboard all wrapped up in one travel friendly unit. Unfortunately that's the end of the good news. Where to start?!?!?!?Fitted the batteries, plugged it in and turned it on. Everything powered up ok. Opened up Garageband ready for the "seamless integration" promised on the box. Picked a synth and tried the keyboard. NOTHING! Hmmmmm...ok, lets try IGrand app from the same people that make the keyboard. NOTHING!!!!! All I got was a warning message relating to microphone and privacy settings. After a lot of trial and error and dark muttering, found that if you unplug and re insert the proprietary din cable from the back of the keyboard and wait a few seconds then re insert, it did intermittently start working, only to randomly cut out again for no apparent reason regulary. Managed maybe 20mins at one point and thought maybe it just needed to settle down, but no, it must have heard me and proceeded to cut out again and refused to come back on. Obviously, it was trying to tell me to take a break and write this review! Updated the firmware (had to do it on PC as the mac download wouldn't install) to the latest version which has made no difference. Even the link to the product manual on the you've registered your product email is a dead link. DO IK Multimedia actually check/test anything before release?????? Bitterly disappointed as I was really hoping that I had a cracking little travel rig. Ended up keeping the secondhand irig Pro I bought and buying a secondhand Alesis q25 midi keyboard and it works flawlessly. Will return this and bank myself £145 in savings.

This worked great for 2 hours when I plugged it to my iPad. Then for some strange reason, the screen of my iPad went dark and wouldn't turn on again.what actually happened was the keyboard had shorted my very expensive iPad pro. Amazon were happy to give me a refund for the price of the keyboard but didn't really feel that compensation of equipment bought from them should be paid in cash only vouchers, really ask yourself who wants £350 worth of vouchers for Amazon which effectively means they are paying nothing. After emails back and forth and bad customer service and then having to write to the legal department, they paid the £350 in cashthat was 4 weeks later. So what's the keyboard like to honest i started making a track and i found it really easy to use and the software that came with it was great I like making my own soundtracks so having a nice string section although I had to pay for it was a blast cant moan easy to use but I am a little scared about plugging it to my new Mac or even buying another from Amazon.

Che dire .. la ho comperata perché già prima avevo comperato il modello 49 Tasti ...Sembra un giocattolo ma collegata a iphone o iPad con i programmi giusti e amplificatore KATANA AIR .. Suoni dappertuttoSemplicemente fantastica !!!

Perfecto como teclado midi, el problema es que como interfaz trabajando con Ableton se desconecta constantemente, hay que estar configurando entrada y salida de audio cada vez... Lo mantendré como teclado y compraré un interfaz nuevo, suerte que lo compré seminuevo y me salió bastante barato, lo malo es que las licencias de todo el software estaban ya utilizadas........

Mobiles Arbeiten - immer häufiger ein zu beobachtender Trend... und auch ich sehe mich hin und wieder in Situationen an denen ich gern vor Ort möglichst produktiv sein möchte oder zumindest die ein oder andere Ideen-Skizze festhalten mag noch bevor ich wieder am Desktop sitze.Ich muss zugeben: Ich war überrascht das IK Multimedia mit dem Konzept des iRig Keys I/0 25 faktisch allein auf Weiter Flur dasteht. Es gibt zwar noch das Icon iKeyboard 3s VST welches ein vergleichbares all-in-one Konzept verfolgt - allerdings ist das I/O 25 von IK deutlich kleiner und leichter, somit auch besser für den mobilen Einsatz geeignet.Ansonsten sucht man sich 'nen Wolf: Ein midifähiges Keyboard mit Audiointerface und MIC IN gibt es sonst nicht weiter bis auf die beiden genannten - zumindest kann ich keine weiteren finden. Dabei ist es so naheliegend und genial zugelich.Da ich - bis auf ein altes ipad gar keine Apple-Produkte nutze, verwirrte mich der Name. Das iRig legt den Fokus auf die Kombination in Verbindung mit Apple-Geräten inkl. ipad und ipad - allerdings nicht ausschließlich - zum Glück.So kann man das Interface auch problemlos per USB an einem PC mit Windows 10 betreiben - die Treiber werden automatisch installiert und funktionierten in meinem Fall aus dem Stand fehlerfrei.Ungewöhnlich allemal ist dennoch die Wahl des "MINI-DIN" Anschlusses auf Keyboard-Rückseite... habe ich in der Form noch nicht gesehen und bei Verlust/Beschädigung des Kabels wird man wohl auf ein Originalteil des Herstellers angewiesen sein.Ein entsprechendes MINI-DIN auf Lightning Kabel für Apple-Geräte liegt auch bei - dies habe ich jedoch nicht getestet.In den gängigen DAW's (Ableton Live Lite 9 wird mitgeliefert) wird das Interface dann problemlos erkannt und muss nur noch in den Settings bei Audio und Midi entsprechend aktiviert werden. Wasapi wird je nach Software vom Gerät supported.In Reaper hatte ich zu Beginn einen kleinen Audio-Konflikt - mit der Meldung das die Eingangs und Ausgangssamplerate nicht zueinander passen. Und tatsächlich - Windows hatte das Interface (MIC-IN) auf 44khz gesetzt, den Ausgang auf 48khz.... Das also als Tipp: Am besten kurz checken und dann beides auf denselben Wert stellen wenn es irgendwo mal hakelt.Aber zurück zum Anfang:Das Keyboard in der 25er Ausführung sieht schick aus, ist kompakt trotz Full-Size tasten und hat zudem 8 kleine Drum-Pads und 4 bzw 5 Endlos-Drehregler und ein paar berührungsempfindliche tasten auf der linken Seite + blaues LCD Display.Rückseitig befinden sich die Anschlüsse wie Neutrik XLR Combo Buchse, Kopfhörerausgang 3,5 mIniklinke, große Klinke Stereo Outs, Pedal, Netzteilanschluss, 48V Phantom Switch, Poti zur Vorverstärkung, Mini-DIN Ausgang... .Wenn man das Teil anschließt,sollte man auch unbedingt etwas an die Ausgänge hängen um auch was zu hören! Also mindestens einen kleinen Kopfhörer oder Speaker per Miniklinke...Die Verarbeitung gefällt auf den ersten Blick, die Tasten spielen sich gut und fühlen sich wertig an.Die Endlos-Drehregler finde ich dagegen etwas "schwammig" - dem ersten verzeich ich es noch da er auch klickbar ist. Die anderen 4 Unendlich-Regler dagegen wirken etwas billig und haben merklich Spiel - schade.Die Drumpads sind sehr klein, aber ganz okay und brauchbar!Softwareseitig gibt es einiges dazu... Ableton Live Lite 9 kann heruntergeladen werden genau wie Sampletank 3. Die entsprechenden Sounds müssen zusätzlich heruntergeladen werden (mehrere GB Content - sollte also an einer flotten WLAN-Leitung erledigt werden).Während einer "Special-Offer" Phase lag auch noch Syntronik mit im Warenkorb.In der größeren 49 Tasten Variante bekommt man auch eine Version von Philharmonik 2 dazugelegt...Ich habe Live Lite 9 getestet und das Interface ansonsten primär in Verbindung mit Reaper genutzt...Der MIC-Eingang wird - nach entsprechender Auswahl in den Settings der DAW - sofort aktiv und kann verwendet werden, sowohl mit dynamischen Mikrofonen (z.b. getestet mit AKG D230) als auch Kondensatormikrofonen die Speisung benötigen genutzt werden (getestet mit dem Rode NTG1). Die Vorverstärkung wird über den kleinen schwer zu fühlenden Drehpoti auf der Rückseite voreingestellt - das ist leider etwas fummelig und hätte mir an anderer Stelle oder zumindest in etwas besserer Ausführung mehr gefallen. Die P48V werden per Klick auf der Rückseite aktiviert/deaktiviert.Eine Diret-Monitoring Funktion wie man sie von "besseren" Interfaces her kennt fehlt leider, so muss man sich in der DAW über einen entsprechendes Routung behelfen und einen möglichen Versatz bei Gesang in Kauf nehmen. Erfordert etwas Umgewöhnung - ist aber machbar und wohl ein Zugeständnis an das All-in-One Konzept.Die Drehpotis können per Midi-Learn zugewiesen werden - die Drumpads sind z.b. in Komplete bereits teilweise gemappt... das ist fein und sehr vielfältig. Einen reinen Midi-Editor habe ich auf den ersten Blick nicht gefunden um entsprechende Settings vorzukonfigurieren.Der große Vorteil ist und bleibt jedoch die Kompaktheit. Das Gerät kann zudem seinen Strom komplett per USB vom PC/Laptop beziehen, alternativ auch per AA Batterien... man ist also wirklich mobil und unabhängig von Stromquellen je nachdem wie lang der Laptop-Akku mitspielt.Und das ganze System funktioniert einfach Plug&Play mäßig auch unter Windows.Mich überzeugt die Idee und das Konzept des I/O 25 durchaus - mangels Alternativen kommt man auch kaum daran vorbei. Die Kompatibilität unter WIN10 ist gegeben, die Softwarebeigaben fair und das Gerät ist bis auf kleine Schwächen in der Usability (schwammige Drehpotis, rückseitig winziger Gain-Regler und der properitäre und seltene MINI-DIN Stecker) ziemlich ordentlich.Bei einem Preis von unter 200€ geht die gebotene Leistung völlig in Ordnung - ich lande bei guten 4 von 5 Sternen und freue mich damit in Zukunft ein wenig mehr "spontan" jammen zu können.

I got this as a gift for my partner to use with their iPad because they had been playing with apps for months. They had actually around the same time ordered themselves a beat pad but this ended up being a much better product with both the beat pad and piano keys. They've now made a few mixtapes using this and really enjoy learning the software it came with. They had an issue with the software at one point but the customer service was excellent and it got solved right away. The tool is sturdy and looks nice also. I am so happy I got this after going back and forth on different models.

Ottima da utilizzare con IPAD in piena mobilità e senza bisogno di alimentazione elettrica un’ottima interfaccia audio per registrare voce o strumenti. Perfetta per utilizzo “hobby” molto comoda e maneggevole! Buona anche la dotazione software.
