This MacBook Pro adapter was exactly what I needed. It is built well, and does the job!

I recently got myself a brand-new MacPro Laptop, and it's been quite the upgrade. The new Macs come with a Type-C input, which is sleek but posed a problem since most of my peripherals are still good old USB. Fortunately, this adapter is a dream for my HTML outket, and it's got plenty of USB ports to accommodate my needs.I did face a hiccup initially when I bought a different attachment. It blocked my laptop's charging port and turned out to be the wrong fit. Lesson learned: always double-check if the attachment is compatible with your laptop's configuration. But once I found the right one, the connection was flawless.

The second thunderbolt port doesn’t work at all. it doesn’t recognize a connection on my 2020 Macbook Pro

This is a decent starter Mac dongle, but if you so much as bump your laptop, you can say “bye-bye” to everything that’s plugged into it, most notably your monitor. These aren’t huge deals until it happens 42 times a day.It is what it is, but it works fine when plugged in!

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro (2022) with only one USB port. This is the perfect adaptor and gives me many more accessories options. I highly recommend this, it's great for the price and works!

I haven't actually used the ports on this so for all I know it could be USB 2.0 or something. that's not the point - the point is that it actually fits the side of my 2022 MBA M2 and it still lets me charge with the magsafe cable. I also love how there's 2x USB C ports on the side. I won't really be using the HDMI but I'd rather have it than not. I do miss the SD card slots on other hubs but in reality, how often do I use that? I also have enough of that hubs to plug into a USB A port if I really needed it so that's fine. Btw, the clear thing on the left is a product plastic sheath the hub came in.Now why is this only 4/5 stars? it's not super flush when the laptop is on the desk. the hub is ever so slightly thicker so if you were to push the laptop down, there'd be minimal flex on the hub. now my concern is long term reliability of the hub and the ports it's attached on given the slight difference in height but I guess the solution is to remove it when you're not using it. I'll keep this for now but if I find a better one in the upcoming prime day sale this might be returned.

Really like this. Can plug everything into one side of my macbook pro 16" and pop it all off at the same time when I need to go mobile. Happy with my purchase.

I have a mouse and monitor connected through this adapter and it has been running smoothly, haven’t encountered any issues. Sleek and lightweight!
