I'm a gardener and was shopping for a collecting basket - something with a wide mouth, can hold a bunch of stuff - something that I can collect and carry stuff around while I'm gardening. I came across these type of collapsible baskets and after looking at a bunch, decided on this one. I'm so glad I did. I only wish it came in a larger size.1. Two handles that fold all the way down so they are completely out of the way.2. Double-layered, durable, heavy canvas type material that is very easy to rinse/wipe clean3. Stands up on it's own and has large rubber feet on each corner to keep the material off the ground4. Folds to a pretty compact package for storage - perfect to keep one in the car5. Would make for an excellent gift for just about anyone, but especially for crafts and gardening6. Comes in a variety of colours and patterns7. Affordable8. The little straps that wrap around the aluminum frame do not come off - very sturdy and should hold a heavy load9. Nice wide grip and the fabric handle has hook and loop - comfortable in hand10. Excellent for shopping/farmer's market, etc...I can't say enough great things about this basket. It's so handy and wonderful that it's so wide open, you can see everything inside, yet it can fold away. I was usually the tote type bags for gardening and they always flop over, spilling contents - or were hard to find things inside. I've also used plain buckets, but they always came out lacking as well. This basket is everything I was looking for. Just wished it came in a larger size as well. The quality is amazing. I've used it for a few weeks now, carrying things to and from my car for work, as a grocery basket at the store, and to hold goodies that I bring to my in-laws. I learned today that it is indeed water-resistant and won't leak through if water is spilled inside of it. The leopard pattern I ordered is exactly as pictures, and looks really nice. While I haven't had a need to close it up often since I'm always using it, it does fold up easily and quickly. The extra side pocket has proven helpful as well, holding my shopping lists, pens, and quarters for carts. Out of the many baskets I've owned before, this is the best quality I've had yet.

It's a great basket. Really cute and durable. I thought it had a cover, I would suggest showing an angle that you can see done in it.

My 2nd Janet Basket and I love them both. I use them for my knitting supplies, but they would be great to take to a farmer's market, or for carrying items to a cookout, etc. Very sturdy, stands up by itself without collapsing. I have had this and my other basket for a long time, and they are both holding up great. Highly recommend!
